This. The page has too much information presented all at once. It needs to be streamlined for easy viewing.

Trying to copy Drudge? Anyway, the fonts are too large and the spacing (white space) is off leading to the overload effect. The eye has trouble processing the page.

Yeah, I was never a fan of their old layout, but this one is even worse. That's why I've always stuck to Liberty Forest. It just seems a lot cleaner in here :D

ewww nonononono. It's too bold, the font's are nasty. The current layout is much much better.

I agree with everyone else...too much clutter on the page

I think its way better than the old one. Not crazy about the new logo, but the rest of it is far easier to navigate.

That looks shitty.

I am going to be blunt. WAY too much for the human eye. Keep the old look.

In my opinion DP is clunky, crowded and very slow to load. You would think that Nystrom could manage a better site considering DP generates over 100K a year in income for M.N.

The Logo is really crap. You don't get it at a glance. I had to look at it more closely to even get what it was saying...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*sniff*......I'll get over it, I suppose......

HEY -that's not the front page -- this is: http://www.dailypaul.com/ If that is just to make forums easier to navigate it might be ok, they needed something like that.

My first thought upon seeing the format was, "Can I stop going to this site for Ron Paul info?" The only way it could get worse is if there were ads between every story. Is there an alternative that covers as much as Daily Paul?

The logo was clever, but perhaps too clever.

Seriously. I work for an ad agency and this site is an example of what NOT to do. It looks like it was designed by a computer programmer, the color makes my eyes bleed, you don't use color like that. and what the hell is wrong with 12px Helvetica?

Hire a designer.

The logo is so clever you can't read it. Really awful.

What is that page? It isn't what you get at www.dailypaul.com but the colors and frame do look a little similar, and it isn't what you get if you go to 'forums - Ron Paul 2012' either.

The part of it I like is the new logo and the format is a little better organized. The colors are really harsh. The text isn't clean and is too large. As someone else said, it looks like a webpage from the 90's. Glad to see they are thinking of an update though!

Anyone else read the logo as "PAULY"?

Sorry, but this is a no go for me. As many have said before, it's far too busy and outdated.

Not a fan. The (old) layout in general is what brought me here, from there, and I would guess the new format would have the same result for me.

I love the unadulterated direct honest feedback in this thread. It makes me laugh, and it's incredibly useful information.

RPF is still far superior IMHO. I only ever check the DP's front page as maneuvering thru their forums is tedious at best. This new format looks very ugly. RPF is nice and clean looking. Easy to read. The NEW POSTS button is key for any good forum.

vbulletin for the win... morally i feel bad supporting VB though the product is probably the best forum engine out there.

I'm not digging it at all. Predicting a lot of complaints if that ever becomes the homepage.

While kind of clever in concept, in practice this new logo is stunningly bad IMO. Hoping Nystrom doesn't adapt it.

I have noticed that as the DP Pages get more and more complex they load slower and slower. The google ad pop-ups are extremely annoying, now I have to turn on my pop-up blocker when I visit the site. The other thing I noticed, reported three days ago, and has not been fixed is that when I go to "Like" an article to Facebook, the Facebook dialog pops up with two thirds of it behind the article column so I can't enter a comment or get to the Send button. And, where do we find an explanation of what that top bar is and how to use it. My motto is, simple works best, and if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

You would think that Nystrom could manage a better site considering DP generates over 100K a year in income for M.N.

Really? Was that mentioned somewhere online, or is that an estimate based on pageviews and average Google payouts?
