According to this Pew Research Study from January 4th:

http://people-press.org/2011/01/04/internet-gains-on-television-as-publics-main-news-source/1/

38 percent of people aged 50 to 64 and 47 percent of people aged 65 and older cite newspapers as their main source of news.
Would it be beneficial to target these Americans by placing ads in newspapers? I think a potential ad would be an article written
by Ron Paul on his plan to maintain Social Security and prescription drug benefits, and why his plan is the only one that will
work. I really think that the campaign needs to make an effort to get Ron Paul's written material out to as many people as
possible. He is an excellent writer, and his written work allows him to get his complete ideas out in a form many people can
understand.

What do you think?

Great idea, start looking up IOWA newspapers that would be good targets.

He also does surprisingly poor with "Tea Party supporters". Thats a demographic that he has a high chance for improvement in.

Higher interest rates on CDs would be a good pitch to seniors as well. Low interest rates are great if you plan to borrow a lot of money, but not everyone is up to their eyeballs in debt. Seniors who worked hard and saved all their lives to build a nest egg used to be able to get decent income from CDs with the principal guaranteed. Now what do they do?

Louisiana's Times-Picayune is the most subscribed to newspaper of any population in America (based on %'s). Also LA is an early caucus state, an ultra-political state, and an ultra-traditional Republican state.
