Remember when looking at this poll that the 4% / 6% number comes in the part of the poll where respondents can name more than one choice. [If you add up the numbers, they come out to way over 100%.]

On the question where the respondents have to pick their first and only choice, Paul is still at 2%.

It's OK, I still like that Independents number. There are more Republican primary voters in that number this cycle than people think.

How is Ron Paul stacking up against Howard Dean when he had to overcome his obstacles of being coined a "second-tier" candidate by the mass media?

i think you could be inaccurate with your 10-20% support. Nationwide I would probably put it at around 5-10%

Perhaps.......But I would rather error on the side of optimism :)

I think he’ll pick up 2% a month until the election. It’ll put him at around 12% of the republican party and in the open primaries I expect a good 30-40% of democrats and independents giving him a boost over all the other candidates in the open polling states.

The exposure to his ideas will grow, it’s only inevitable that people are fed up the neo-cons and democrats and want to go in a new direction.
