VP Biden attended a dinner in downtown Charleston tonight and has totally messed up traffic. Our roads are already bad enough without his "royal" presence. Last time he was here they closed down the interstates during rush hour traffic.

Motorists should expect heavier traffic on the peninsula because of the Vice President's motorcade. Roads connecting Charleston International Airport to Charleston Place downtown will be closed for periods of time this evening for the motorcade.

The event is being held be at Charleston Place Hotel. Ten people are having dinner with the vice president for $35,800 per person. Proceeds going to the Joint Obama victory fund. State party Chairman Dick Harpootlian is among the 10 people invited.

Yeah, for $358,000 in campaign funds not official gov't business. I wonder how much money was lost in productivity and just gas with people having to wait and be rerouted in traffic. Not to mention the cost for providing an army of local security.
