Nice! Great news and good motivation to raise a BOATLOAD of cash for Black THIS Out on the 19th of October.

This is very exciting. How much were his other ad buys compared to this? Also, it says it's starting today. Does that mean it will run through the debate?

The first ad to be included is a 60-second spot touting his work on behalf of military veterans, with a softer, more human interest tone than his earlier, movie-trailer style ads. Rather than focusing on his libertarian philosophy, the ad turns to the type of constituent service work Paul rarely discusses: a pair of Vietnam veterans recall how Paul, helped them get medals for their service.

“Ron Paul is a veteran’s best friend,” Army veteran Rene Reyes says in the ad.

“It takes a veteran to understand a veteran,” says Army veteran Joe Pena.

A picture of Paul, a former Air Force flight surgeon himself, appears on screen, setting up a contrast to Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has increased the references to his own time as a pilot in recent days.

This is great news!

Apparently there is a new ad talking about Ron's support from veterans along with another positive ad and a third ad to be shown later contrasting him with Perry

"“We think that now is the time to break through”

These moneybombs have OBVIOUSLY helped a lot. We need to keep this up. I mean, think about this...we have a moneybomb every month, Ron gets between 500k and 1M dollars each. This allows the campaign to do various promotional things, like this new ad. If we keep this up, Perry and Romney are in deep trouble. Unlike the two other candidates, Ron's message only helps him. You see, when Perry or Romney start talking, their numbers actually go down. I still haven't decided if I am going to watch the debate tonight, but I can bet you that Perry's numbers will go down after tonight. Another thing, Bachmann will hit heavily at Perry, as well as, Romney. This will only help Ron. So, basically, we need to keep this up.

yup. in the official press release i believe there was something about running it during the debate. I'm not sure if they meant post/pre debate coverage or the debate itself though.

Great ad. Wish one of them would have mentioned that Ron received more donations from vets & Active military than all the other republican candidates combined. Hopefully Ron can bring it up in tonight's debate.

Really good ad!

It shows a side of RP most people don't know about.

A couple of years ago, Marilyn (in Lake Jackson) sent me a newspaper article with Ron presenting a medal to a veteran's widow. He takes this seriously.
OT: Is that a bi-plane he's standing by? I knew he had a license, but didn't know what he flew. Many air bases have "aero clubs" and ground school is pretty cheap.

I think that ad made me cry a little.

Great ad, great timing, great emphasis of issues (specifically, Ron Paul being in the airforce and being a veteran, two things that require emphasis), great work. Really shows how far the campaign has come since '08

This is pure genius.

The donations are a great talking point, but this is even greater.

Simplicity, sincerity, straightforwardness > statistical one-upsmanship any day.

“We think that now is the time to break through,” Paul adviser Jesse Benton said. “When we move up in Iowa and New Hampshire, we’re not going to be able to be ignored.”

I'm sure they will still try to find a way to ignore Ron Paul.

At some point there crosses a line where being ignored no longer serves its function and is detrimental to FNC. They will be bringing up every ounce of dirt they have on Ron if he makes big jumps in the early states.
