The grand opening of Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s South Carolina headquarters – housed in a downtown Columbia, S.C. building that’s no stranger to political theater – was greeted by a swarm of sign-wielding protesters on Wednesday.
Included among the protesters? Two people wearing Al Gore masks – a not-so-subtle nod to Perry’s previous support of the former Democratic vice president.
“Tipper may have left me but I know YOU never will,” read a sign carried by one of the “Gores.”
