Is there any chance Kucinich would endorse Paul? Would it be worth approaching him? Certainly he has more in common with Paul than he does with Obama...

Also, you can add Kentucky Senator Rand Paul to that list!

You think Mike Lee will also endorse Paul?

I have a sneaking suspicion that Mike Lee will pull a Flake and endorse Romney. Hope I'm wrong....

Now would be a good time for us all to write nice letters to our elected officials, encouraging them to support Ron Paul.

For many of these politicians, it's typical to wait and see who's going to win, and then endorse the likely winner. They don't want to look bad, endorsing someone who doesn't win.

But what looks better than endorsing someone who's steadfast, principled, and consistent? We all know that Ron Paul will be in this race all the way up 'til the nomination, whether he wins it or not.

Let's lengthen this list of endorsements!

Yea, I can't believe I forgot about that one...I guess because it's just implied. Good catch though.

There's also the youngest Rhode Island State Senator, Nick Kettle. He hasn't officially endorsed Ron Paul yet but he has been public about his support for Ron Paul. Should I add him to the list or wait for an official endorsement?

wow all those endorsements from NH...I hope we make itFyi, for some reference, each NH state representative represents ~3300 residents.

Congressman Justin Amash representing MI-3 represents ~660k
Congressman Walter Jones NC-3 ~620k
Senator Rand Paul KY (total population 4.3m)

Yes, more than every other state combined but that won't likely last until the election.

New Hampshire State Representative Steve Vaillancourt endorsed Ron Paul in 2008 ( http://www.dailypaul.com/22348/former-rep-dave-buhlman-from-nh-ensorses-rp-good-bad-meaningless ) and has endorsed Ron Paul month after month in this election:
April http://www.nhinsider.com/rep-steve-vaillancourt/2011/4/18/ron-paul-wows-em-at-st-anselms.html
July http://www.nhinsider.com/rep-steve-vaillancourt/2011/7/21/fox-has-ron-paul-within-8-points-of-romney.html
August http://www.nhinsider.com/rep-steve-vaillancourt/2011/8/16/all-the-shahs-men-vindicates-ron-paul.html
September http://www.nhinsider.com/rep-steve-vaillancourt/2011/9/15/channel-9-exaggerates-perrys-problem.html
And there are likely many more endorsements of Paul by Vaillancourt that I didn't post.

I know of other State Reps in NH that support Ron Paul too, such as Rep. Andrew J. Manuse who constantly says good things about Dr. Paul on Facebook. Don't be surprised if Rep. Manuse officially endorses the Doctor.

Also, 3 additional former (as of 2008, not sure of their current status) NH State Reps endorsed Ron Paul in 2008. There is a good chance they would endorse him now, if asked.

No Endorsements from South Carolina? SC has just as many electoral votes as Iowa and New Hampshire combined.

Wouldn't you put the best campaign people and resources in on the states you are not doing well in polling or support?

You need to put the best in NH and IA as those are the most important states. I agree that more focus should go to SC, though. NH, IA, SC, NV, MI, FL and really all of the states are important. I am not sure why you are talking about this stuff in this thread though. I don't see the relation. Ron Paul didn't get those endorsements in NH (or at least most of them) because the official campaign worked hard to get them. There are more endorsements waiting for Paul in NH. Someone in has campaign just has to spend a couple minutes per email to get additional endorsements.

Ron Paul has the endorsement of 5 of the 12 Republican party state central committee members in Iowa. You only listed three. James Mills is another and I don't know the fifth one.

Ron Paul has the endorsement of 5 of the 12 Republican party state central committee members in Iowa. You only listed three. James Mills is another and I don't know the fifth one.

The Iowa Republican Party website lists 21 State Central Committee Members. James Mills isn't on there.

http://iowagop.org/centralcommittee.php

Edit: I see that he recently won an election to replace an outgoing member. I'll add him to the list. Can you figure out who that 5th member is? Thanks!

Hmm... I thought that there were only 12 members. Iowa is will soon only have 4 districts instead of 5 due to the last census. According to that list, you need to add Drew Ivers.

Is there any chance Kucinich would endorse Paul? Would it be worth approaching him? Certainly he has more in common with Paul than he does with Obama...

“Dr. Paul has been endorsed by more members of the Republican Party of Iowa’s State Central Committee than any other candidate seeking the presidency. Five of the 17 members of the RPI leadership have now endorsed Ron Paul. James Mills joins Drew Ivers, A.J. Spiker, David Fischer and Jeremiah Johnson in endorsing Ron Paul for President. Each of these party leaders represent more than 100,000 registered Republicans in their respective districts,” said Mr. Spiker.

I'm not going to try and discourage you. What state are you in? If it is an early state, I would place more emphasis on contacting state reps and senators for an endorsement, and get involved with the local GOP, ect.

The Honorable Ron Paul
United States House of Representatives

Dear Representative Paul,

Without request and of my own accord, I hereby offer my endorsement for your 2012 campaign for President of the United States.

Congressman Ron Paul is the only elected official in my memory to stand unflinchingly and without compromise for the strict construction of the US Constitution, and the proper economic model that will restore peace and prosperity to the United States. There has been no better candidate for President of the United States in the last 100 years than Ron Paul.

We need Ron Paul in the White House fighting to restore Constitutional government, to restore American liberty, and to restore respect around the world so that we can live in peace and prosperity, and to restore the American dream in our era.

Ron Paul is the only candidate for President who has the courage to do what it takes to get America back on track, and I wholeheartedly and without reservation offer my endorsement to Ron Paul for President in 2012.

Respectfully submitted,

Representative Glen Bradley

How many of us have contacted our own congressman? Many of them are too chicken to endorse anyone until the field has narrowed, but what if all 533 members of Congress (not counting Ron and Rand Paul of course) got a barrage of endorsement requests? Out of 533 Reps and Senators, we are bound to get something. Of course if anyone lives in Bachmann's district, by all means have fun! I saw someone elses letter to their Iowa Rep and got inspired to send a message to my Congressman, if he reads it great, if not I only wasted 15 minutes.

Congressman Rohrabacher,

I am a resident of Huntington Beach since 2008, I moved to Orange County seeking a better place to live after growing up in nearby Norwalk. 2008 was my first presidential election, and I supported Hillary as the least of the three evils that the media chose to present to us. I voted for John McCain in the election as I could not bring myself to vote for OBAMA (One Big Awful Mistake America!)

Three years later, our nation is no better off. I work in retail lower management engaged with my customers, our neighbors, and your constituents. I can honestly say that people are hurting, inflation is killing us, and the policies of Washington DC are crippling our middle class. Prices are rising, wages are not, and people are spending less and less, because their dollar is worth less and less.

I know four years ago you endorsed Mitt Romney, I ask you this time to consider the mess this nation is in, consider the massive debt, unemployment, inflation, violations of civil liberties, senseless undeclared wars, and broken entitlement system that will suffocate the hard working taxpayers of this country. I have avidly watched every debate, and have even gone so far as to research the candidates that the media chooses to exclude.

I cannot support Buddy Roemer, nice guy, no chance.
I cannot support Gary Johnson, I’ve seen no detailed plans to fix our problems.
I cannot support Jon Huntsman, nice guy but I don’t see a chance.
I cannot support Rick Santorum, Google Santorum, enough said.
I cannot support Michele Bachmann, keep her titanium spine in Congress
I cannot support Rick Perry, did we not learn our lesson from GW Bush?
I cannot support Newt Gingrich, he is very smart, but I question his sincerity and values.
I cannot support Herman Cain, 9+9+9 =27% taxes, no thank you.
I cannot support Mitt Romney, he represents flip-flopping status quo, he cannot beat Obama.

I’ve spent the past three years doing my own research; I wanted to support a candidate that had sound constitutional answers to the problems that we face. I am writing to ask you to strongly consider supporting Congressman Ron Paul for President in the 2012 Republican Primary. Ron Paul is the reason I am now a registered Republican. I’ve never donated to a candidate before this primary season, as I can think of many other ways to waste my worthless Federal Reserve Notes, but Dr. Paul has my financial support.

As you know Dr. Paul has a 30 year record of small government fiscal conservatism and has consistently demonstrated a knowledge and understanding of our economy far beyond that of any other presidential candidate. I firmly believe he is in the best position of any Republican to challenge and defeat Barack Obama and restore constitutional principles to Washington DC. There is a core of supporters that will vote No One But Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is a man of conviction and principle whom I am proud to support for President. I truly hope that you will give your full consideration to supporting and endorsing Congressman Ron Paul in his bid to Restore the Republic in 2012.

We all know this is an extremely important time for our country. Government spending, debt, and deficits are all at record highs. I urge you to please consider giving your full endorsement to the only man who has the track record to show that he will follow his convictions and restore true limited government to our great nation.

I was young in 2000 but I remember Bill Clinton leaving office with a SURPLUS. As the Super Committee meets, I wonder how this great nation could in only eleven years gone from surplus to deficits in the TRILLIONS. Do any of the other candidates have a plan to correct that? Dr. Paul has that plan.

Barack Obama’s newest slogan is We Can’t Wait, he’s right!
We can’t wait to vote him out!
We can’t wait while our dollar collapses.
We can’t wait while our troops are still in harms way.
We can’t wait three hours at the airport while the TSA strip searches old ladies and little children.
We can’t wait while our tax policy drains the middle class.
We can’t wait while our country (empire) follows the Soviet Union into collapse.

Ron Paul is running for president to save our nation and return it to the once proud country that gave him the opportunity to become a doctor, flight surgeon, and congressman. I don’t see those same opportunities for the young people of today. I am fortunate to be employed when so many are not. I wish I could go back to college but the costs are too high. I wish I could buy an American car and buy a home, but the IRS takes my money, lets me keep some of it, and wastes the rest in a nanosecond.

Dr Paul cured my apathy, as he has so many other supporters. The straw polls in Iowa (three times), California, Ohio, and Values Voters Summit have shown the commitment of our movement. We are dedicated to TRUE CHANGE and HOPE FOR AMERICA; I hope you’ll be a part of it.

In Liberty,

Wyoming State Representative Kendell Kroeker endorses Ron Paul:

I have officially endorsed Ron Paul for president. Here is my official statement:

I am endorsing Ron Paul because I believe he is the only candidate who has shown he understands and will uphold the Constitution. He has a consistent record for over 30 years of always upholding it and has never given in to special interest groups. His consistency and integrity during his time serving in Washington is what we desperately need in the white house. I also believe he is the only candidate serious about reducing the size and scope of the federal government and he will use the chains of the Constitution to rein it in to its proper size.

I am also impressed with Dr. Paul’s understanding that parents should be the ultimate authority in their children’s education and that the federal government has no place in dictating how the states or parents should educate their children. I know he will protect the rights of parents who choose to home school.

I am proud to endorse Ron Paul for President and hope that I will prove to be as consistent a defender of the constitution in my public service as Dr. Paul has been in his.

The root of monetary evil is the Federal Reserve. Ron Paul proposes that we end the secrecy of the Federal Reserve by starting with a full audit and then continuing to full openness and transparency. And, of course, he would end all bailouts for the politically connected. This would restore the dollar's reliability as a store of value, and end the threat of imminent monetary collapse.

We can restore America to prosperity. We can return honesty and value to our monetary system and keep the promises we made to this country's senior citizens.

Please choose your Presidential candidate carefully; the Federal Reserve seems to have its hooks in several of them.

Endorsement by Maine State Representative Aaron Libby:

2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Maine State Representative Aaron Libby (R-Waterboro). Representing the 139th District, Rep. Libby serves an area comprised of Waterboro and part of Lyman.

At a town hall event featuring Ron Paul in Alfred, Rep. Libby made his endorsement public before the crowd of Paul supporters.

“We need to change our cradle-to-grave government mentality. Cutting taxes is not enough. We must reduce the size and cost of our federal government. I am tired of the status quo, big-government politicians of both sides of the aisle. Ron Paul represents real cuts, real change, for a free and prosperous America. I am a Ron Paul Republican,” said Rep. Libby.

Currently in his first term, Rep. Libby was a delegate to the 2008 state Republican convention and coordinates Ron Paul campaign efforts for York County. One of 10 young apple farmers selected by the U.S. Apple Association for “Capitol Hill Day,” he attempted to meet several Representatives, but found only Dr. Paul to take genuine interest in his agricultural issues when the meeting occurred. That was the day Dr. Ron Paul inspired him to make his successful run for the Maine State Legislature.

Providing a strong conclusion to Ron Paul’s two-day Maine swing, such endorsements help present Ron Paul as the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney and flex the might of the only other campaign organization capable of maintaining a 50-state competition with the establishment candidate.

He then tried to explain how to change over so you can vote in other party primaries.

Upon further research, he's donated $2,500 to the Paul campaign this election.

(Furthermore in 2008, a friend of mine who invited me to Driver's election party told me how he supported both Kucinich and Paul then as well.)

So I ran the numbers and over 40 Percent of the US and state legislators who endorsed Ron Paul are New Hampshire legislators. 13% from Maine if you don't count State Representative Ryan Harmon's endorsement and 14% are from Maine if you do count his endorsement. Rep Harmon originally endorsed Ron Paul but then changed his mind and endorsed Mitt Romney. The highest ranking legislator to endorse Ron Paul was Senator Rand Paul. Out of the 5 early states of IA, NH, SC, FL and NV, 80% of the endorsements came from NH legislators.

Paul endorsement
Ron Paul to Be Endorsed By Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer at Philadelphia Rally

Lebanon Senator inspired by Paul’s consistency and fealty to the Constitution to introduce Congressman on Independence Mall

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer (R-Lebanon). Representing the 48th District, Sen. Folmer serves an area encompassing all of Lebanon County and parts of Berks, Chester, Dauphin and Lancaster Counties.

Sen. Folmer issued the following statement ahead of the official announcement he will reiterate at a Ron Paul campaign event on the Independence Mall in Philadelphia. Details of the Sunday, April 22nd event follow the statement and bio below.

“Ron Paul is as consistent today as he was four years ago and as I know he will be four years from now. No matter who Ron Paul is meeting with, no matter where, and no matter what the issue, Ron Paul stays true to his beliefs – the same ones that led me to run for office. These are an unwavering respect for the Constitution, respect for the sanctity of life, a commitment to less government, and a furtherance of personal responsibility.”

“My ‘Promise to Pennsylvania’ and Ron Paul’s platform are very similar: legislative and political reform, tax and spending reform, and legal and labor law reform. These are issues I have been fighting for at the state level and I wholeheartedly endorse Ron Paul in his quest to return this country to the principles of our Founding Fathers. Ron Paul has not only read the Constitution, he believes in it and – most importantly – he will abide by it to ensure we are once again dedicated to its opening words, ‘We the People.’”

Sen. Folmer’s official bio follows.

Mike is a founding member of the Constitutional Organization of Liberty, a community-wide educational project designed to promote awareness of America’s founding principles.

In 1986, Mike pulled an upset victory to Lebanon City Council campaigning as a conservative Democrat (he would later follow Ronald Reagan’s example by re-registering as a Republican). As the Council’s Director of Public Safety, Mike fought local labor unions on excessive contract demands and introduced a plan to trim hundreds of thousands of dollars from the cash strapped community’s annual budget. Mike honored a term-limits pledge, retiring after just one term in office.

Two decades later, running on a “Promise to Pennsylvania,” a pledge to advance government reform, tort reform, the elimination of wasteful state spending, and lower taxes, Mike pulled another upset victory to win a seat in the Pennsylvania State Senate. He was reelected to a second term in 2010.

In his first term, Senator Folmer had five bills signed into law. He currently serves as Chairman of the Communications and Technology Committee and Vice Chair of the Education Committee. Other committee assignments include Inter-Governmental Operations; Labor and Industry; State Government; and Urban Affairs and Housing.
