Most people are competitive and like games. With that in mind, I thought it might be possible to have a grassroots contest. The idea is to develop a point system tied to a real name or real pseudonym (less useful for Facebook). Points would be earned for outreach efforts:
Positive RP Blog Entry: 5 points (must be google indexed, 100+ words)
News Article Comments Posted: 3 points (first page), 2 points (second page), 1 point (third page)
Tweet Followers: 1 point (7 positive tweets about Ron/week)
Facebook Friends: 1 point
Phone from Home: 1 point/call
Metrics could be added and adjusted, the above is just an idea (and I know nothing of Facebook). Some elements might be based on the honor system and stats could be kept in a sig or profile page.
If it takes off as an idea, I'd be willing to pony something up as prizes (like Ron Paul gear from CafePress or a Ron Paul store). Relative effort could be rewarded (e.g., most points earned in a week).
The general idea is to encourage more outreach via competition, tracking efforts/results, and maybe having fun.
