LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A woman dropped her pants Wednesday afternoon at the Citibus public hearing in downtown Lubbock.

With her hands on her derriere, Tomi Morrell said she had lost 64 pounds in the last year. "I have to wear shorts under my britches just to keep ‘em on!"

And with that she whisked her pants down to her ankles revealing a pair of black shorts underneath.

Morrell claims that often she's only eating one meal a day and the Citibus rate hike of 25 cents per trip would cost her $75 per year. The 25 cent rate hike is meant to avert cuts to the routes which would change them from once every 30 minutes to once an hour.

Morrell is the same woman who, in a late August public hearing, yelled "If it ain't broke leave it alone!"

At Wednesday's hearing she said, "If you people walk out of here and remember only one thing: You're starving your poor to death."

[Does she look like she's starving to you?]

The audience applauded as she walked away from the microphone with her pants still hanging around her ankles.

City Councilman Todd Klein on Thursday will urge his fellow council members to neither increase the fares nor cut the routes. He has suggested taking $175,000 from economic development and transferring it to Citibus. Sources say he does not have the votes get his idea implemented.

Actually, she is starving to death. Don't let the weight fool you. She is piling carbs on and it is killing her by starving her of proper nutrients. Mind you, if she had more cash she would be even more unhealthy because I doubt she would change her diet. Seed oils, processed grains, msg, sucralose, aspartame, factory farmed, grain fed meats.

Looks like it wouldn't hurt her to walk instead of taking the bus.
