awesome!! and it's funny now- how the few people opposing what he said - don't know the rest of the sentence and paragraph of what he said.

Classic. At 1:30, in response to the a repeat of Ron Paul's debate question of "what would we say if China was building bases here in the USA", Elizabeth says "We don't need them here." I wonder if the Iraqis are saying the same thing?

I didn't catch that at 1:30. Thanks for letting me know. That is HILARIOUS!

Great talk!!!! other then the big mouth blond

I thought that blond seemed like a brainwashed drone, just regurgitating the administrations talking points. Kind of like a female Shawn Hannity but not as clever.

I think the blonde was implying that the MIddle East needs us there. HOw bizarre!

Did you hear Joy say they needed to talk to Dr Paul to hear his defense policy? I hope they call him.

Edited to add: I don't want to hang my hat with Rosie though. She's too controversial.

That wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.

I just want to say, that I really can't stand Rosie O'Donnell, and I'm not comfortable with her being on our side any more than the KKK endorsing Ron Paul. Not that she endorsed Ron Paul, but it could be seen that way. I didn't like her in this video, even though she was arguing on our side... kinda.

I like Joy Behar much better, and I like the fact that she referred to Ron Paul as a "very conservative Republican from Texas."

You know, I'm starting to think that scrap Ron had with Giuliani is exactly what we needed. I never thought they would be talking about our candidate on the View.

He didn't convert her by any means.

He didn't convert her by any means. That was just my feeble attempt at humor. :)

That's about how I feel. But the New York Mom crowd applauded Joy's paraphrasization (is that evena word???) of Paul's message. Applause in Giuliani territory? That's gotta be hard to come by.

I love how hasselbeck tried to spin it at first. I think Joy defended Ron's points well and pointed out that Rudy is nothing but a chump.

I concur so long as the negative spin gets exposed or people figure it out on their own, which they are. Dr. Paul was obviously factually correct the whole time, he is the standout!

That is some good air time indeed. They weren't talking about Romney, McCain, or Giuliani. It was about Ron Paul's common sense platform. It's time to reevaluate policy!

Go Ron Go!

Wow, this is a way better debate than the GOP joke! I can't believe I would ever say this, but daytime TV is bringing serious discussion back to US politics! Seriously, this gives me a lot of hope for this country.

Did anyone else notice? I went to ABC's website to leave a comment THANKING THEM for having a real discussion about foreign policy, and there's no mention of the ron paul discussion. They have an archival section of "hot topic", where they list everything the girls have ever chatted about. Everything EXCEPT Ron Paul. This makes me so angry!! Jesus, can't they let people just discuss issues and make independent decisions for their vote?

I wrote a letter to "the Viewmaster" and to Joy, who started the discussion:

"Dear Joy -
I saw your "Hot Topic" discussion of Ron Paul and US foreign policy the other day. It was fantastic! A MUCH better discussion than has occurred in ANY of the candidate debates so far! It's wonderful that ABC and "The View" should step in to provide real stimulating discourse about major issues when Fox shows itself incapable. Maybe you should continue in this vein of serious discussion (which the audience obviously loved as much as I did) by inviting Ron Paul onto the show?

Kudos to ABC, and kudos to the girls from the View for talking so directly about this issue! Thank you! You've made a "viewer" out of me!

PS - I noticed that the segment isn't included in your "Hot Topics" clips on your website yet. Good thing there's youtube! The clip has more than 6,000 views already, and is spreading great publicity for you guys! Keep up the good work! "

I encourage all of the rest of you to send in similar comments. I'm sure the girls got in trouble for talking about Paul on ABC's network (note the awful picture of him the producer used?)... but they actually do have some clout. If someone could see that there's a market for this, or that this is an opportunity to steal a market from under Fox's feet... well, something could happen. And it's hard for even ABC to ignore thousands of email requests for ron paul to be on the show. So write an email!

The only place I could think of that you would be talking about would be the video clips, it looks like they only had a couple of clips from the show that they talked about Ron Paul on.

Maybe if we thanked them and asked them where we could see a copy of the video from the show they would add it.

You have to remember that it's daytime tv and it's celebrity driven. If they can only put a few clips on their website, then they are going to give the clips to the celebrity co-host, the actors that were on the show, and the big celebrity stories.
