It has been suggested that we drop a moneybomb off our schedule. What do you think?

We just raised nearly $1 mil in 1 day. It would have taken much, much longer to do this without the money bomb. The money bomb is our greatest fundraising asset.

Please vote, I have a poll up now.

I really don't know. The "Black out THIS" money bomb seems like it will bring in a good amount. The thing is, I REALLY would like to see a Veterans Day Money Bomb. Having a ticker with a photo of Capt. Paul on it, would be a HUGE positive for the campaign.

The only problem I foresee, at least with a "Support the Troops" theme, is the whole thing being viewed as exploitative or pandering, but that's purely speculative.

Both are great and I'm assuming both will go forward, but I voted for other:

Get to one million today.
Donate all you can by the end of the quarter, 9/30. Third quarter numbers will get a lot of press coverage. Fourth quarter numbers will be lost in the coverage of the primaries. Earlier money helps the campaign more.

These are going to quite possibly be the most important moneybombs of the entire primary season. It looks like Iowa and NH will be in early December. These moneybombs will give Ron the money needed to continuously run ads leading up to the caucus and primary.

These next two moneybombs need to be HUGE. I'm talking 2 million+ each one. This is serious business.

we need a steady stream of money, both. Really, it will be the campaign that sends the signal to do one, the other or both.

Probably a month or two. Every money bomb is a huge success and all the other candidates would kill for this.

Both, on balance. Not to keen on the naming of BTO but now it's done let's make it work.

It's important to discuss the issue of moneybombs because as written earlier some want a regular donation system while others want a big moneybomb. While I don't like polls, the question asked is a good one.

The moneybomb calendar strategy is working! We are pulling in big money on a monthly basis early in the campaign!
If we set a goal for the end of quarter of $2.5 million by sep 30th we should hit $8 million for the quarter.

The poll is fixed. The "both-ers" don't have any real support. Why is the media ignoring the BTO-only supporters when we're polling 2nd? ARE THEY AFRAID OF THE TRUTH?

I voted both. I was considering voting only BTO, but there's no way it will win. It's just not electable

On the " black this out " mb .. We should really ask that people try to donate $100. We have to make this huge!

We might should change the November money bomb.. I don't forsee it doing as well as last time, it just won't have the same feeling as Remember, Remember the 5th of November. Now I can't say I have any ideas right off the top of my head, but we need somthing strong.

I clicked Nov 11 only but meant to choose both. I think black this out will be successful and there should be enough time by 11-11-11 for anothers successful surge

I am donating November 5th. I don't care if it's a designated moneybomb day or not.

Can we reuse November 5th? December Tea Party is a easy reuse and will have strong support, is November 5th Remember?

realtonygoodwin

November 5th was vetoed for a couple reasons. You are, of course, welcome to donate any day you wish.

Too important. The only one I could have seen to drop in the one in August. I wish there was another 5th of November one as well. I know I am MB crazy though, so don't mind me.

Is there no money bomb on Nov 5 this time ? Wasnt that the day when we crossed 5 mil mark ? Or it is being dropped because the media would spin it again like last time, associating with "terrorist" Guy Fawkes ?

That is part of it. The other part is that apparently Anonymous is shutting down Facebook that day.

Do both. Do one, we'll be fine. Do it on the 19th and/or the 11th though, not Nov. 5th. We cannot be giving any fodder to the media. Anyways, there is nothing wrong with Veteran's day. Guy Fawkes isn't even American.

"support the troops moneybomb" is a very bad idea. If it turns out lower than expected the MSM will totally spin it by saying "Oh I guess Ron Paul doesnt have troop support after all".........and his supporters dont care about the troops.

I agree, as I said earlier we should come up with something else for November. Still trying to think of somthing turning into a money bomb theme.

Exactly. It's the easiest date to remember.

The hatred of the Veterans Day idea is mind-boggling. It sends a real, solid message in a Republican primary. This is a Republican Party movement reaching out to Republican primary voters. Republicans love the military. They just don't understand that they are not supporting the troops by supporting these conflicts to continue.
