Donation did'nt "take"

I donated around 1:30 am last night using my debit card, got the thank you screen. never got a confirmation email. just checked my bank account and didnt see the transaction. so... I guess it didnt take.

how many donated and werent counted? I dont think they could be lagging that far behind that they forgot to get my money out of my bank account.

do you think thats possible? will it take time for them to catch up?

I have not received my confirmation yet too. The donations are pouring in. so there is going to be quite a lag.

Ya, I haven't received the email but it came out of my bank account and I got the thankyou screen.

The confirmation e-mails are sometimes very slow. I still have not received my confirmation e-mail from the tiny money bomb last Tuesday, though I did appear on the donor list. I don't know whether the money was deducted from my account.

That happened to me too during that 1 million dollar push, some time back. It DID "take" though; the campaign confirmed it. But, it took several weeks for me to get the confirmation email. And I only got that, because I asked about it.

I did not get the confirmation email either, but my name showed up on the meter display. Any time I donate it usually takes my bank three or four days to show the transaction.

Check it later today or tomorrow. Depending on which credit card company and which bank you have, it may take a bit for the transaction to settle. It doesn't happen instantaneously - many times that are processed in a batch. I would check again late (after 5:00pm) this afternoon.

the confirmation will come sometime in the future

this happened to me in the past during a high volume time

it was eventually sent to me a few weeks later

i donated on sept 27th (end of q3 push) and didn't get the e-mail confirmation till october 29th

I donated via paypal around 1:30 this morning and got a paypal receipt via email, but not an official campaign email. My guess is it's pretty lagged at this point.

i donated last night around 3am and it took 10-15 minutes before my name showed up on the "Recent Donations" list. The last time around my name showing up was almost immediate. And this was at 3am!!

wow, and i also just noticed that i still haven't gotten my confirmation email either. The charge is on my account and my name showed up, but no confirmation email. Their system is probably overloaded right now...to say the least ;)

I think they might have the server set up to prioritize certain tasks so that it doesn't crash

The problem is they use 1and1.com. I really wish a campaign manager would discuss dedicated servers with me as I can probably get them a better deal than they have with 1and1. In the hosting business everyone knows 1and1 is the worse (though they seem the best) cause they're a big company.

Anyways, mail servers are completely separate from web servers. They run much slower and are always the first to go down during times of high traffic.
