What a load of garbage. We know who is revolutionary.

Hmm...another New York mayor running for president.

Get used to splitting your votes Rudy.

Hot freaking crap, that's like a 2 million page article. Is Newsweek *that* desperate to get him in the race?

LibertyEagle

That article is ELEVEN pages long. Did he say he is going to run, or what?

Nothing quite as revolutionary as the status quo.

In case you're not from the New York area, Giuliani has about as much support up here as Bush does nation-wide. Theres a few people who like him, but Bloomberg is much more popular, and pretty much anyone other than Giuliani would do for most.

If Bloomberg gets in the race, it'll just help Paul if he gets the Rep. nomination or if he decides to run as the Libertarian candidate. Bloomberg will get the liberal/nanny government vote.

Yeah, I don't get all the coverage they give to people who said they aren't going to run or just aren't running. Save it for when/if they enter the race at least, sheesh.

And yeah... I don't know what exactly would be 'revolutionary' about bloomberg.

Why should I get angry again? It doesn't really matter who enters the race, no one on the GOP side can beat Paul. If Colbert was still running, then I might have been worried.

The powers that be are behind this man. If this thing is 11 pages long, something is up.

Bloomberg is to Johnny Tremaine as Michael Vick is to Saint Francis of Assisi.

I did not READ that article, I was INCENSED at Newsweek for using "Revolutionary"

but then again, I guess it does show that the people that newsweek are pretty frikken nervous about Ron Paul and OUR revolution!

Bloomberg is a nanny state gun grabbing, liberal. He would take votes from Hillary more than anyone.

Umm....if we waste our time getting angry over every article like this, we would spend all our time (energy) being angry. ;)

I'm sure it's a flash in the pan. It's a little late for anyone to be "thinking about" entering the race now, lol. (IMO, they are desperate, running articles like this.)

it will just make us stronger and more determined...if all the CFR can come up with is Bloomberg then they are in serious trouble indeed..

Correct, Bloomberg would be a Hillary spoiler. He also would not run as a Rep. - Either Dem. or Indy.

MSNBC just did this story on air.

The author of the story said something about running as an independent.

I did not read the article, but all I can say is let Bloomberg run. He is number #1 on the NRA's shit list and they have been campaigning against him for the past two years. Aside from that, he does not have a snowball's chance in hell of making it as an independent. Let's assume that RP does not get the Republican nomination, and the final battle is against Hillary, Rudy and Bloomberg. Bloomberg is going to have to petition in every state to get his name on the ballots. After he submits each petition, the Rudy and Hillary camps are going to take his ass to court in each state and make him prove the signatures are legitimate. He will spend the entire election and every penny he has battling lawsuits.

And this is exactly the electoral college should not be abolished. If that happens, we'll end up choosing from the Mayor of NY, the Governor of TX and the Governor of Florida.

Bloomberg pulled out of his party earlier this year. But that article says that he is not running. (Nothing like voting for a liar...)

This is their strategy to defeat Ron Paul:

1) Constantly announce bogus poll numbers showing RP at 2% to make the general public feel that he "has no chance".
2) Get as many people as possible into the GOP race to confuse voters so they end up just voting for "whoever is most popular".

The reason they do this is that they understand the rationale of crowds. Too many choices makes people even more narrow-minded.
