I'll say around 2Mil can be expected. If we meet or exceed that, I'll be very happy!

Not hoping for much but happy if I'm wrong. The SuperPAC in two days after will have a diluting effect imho.

I'll keep it conservative and say 1 million mainly because I can only donate 10 or 15 this time around...I don't know how other people are feeling.

I also like graphics and not seeing any graphics all over facebook makes me worried.

Yes, go buy something from a site that donates - like www.ronpaulstuff.com

Also, http://paul.depositwiz.com IS set to show day by day, and feeds from the site in real time, so those numbers are actually accurate as per the time frames afaik - so I have a feeling this might be WAY bigger than I thought (750k-1M) which is GREAT news.

FreedomProsperityPeace
09-16-2011, 08:32 PM
I'm going to say $1.25M- $1.50M. I'm conservative in my guess because we've had some who have maxed out and some who seem to have had their faith shaken, and there will be a little dilution over the end of the month because of the "end of quarter push". This will be offset somewhat by new recruits I hope, to equal somewhere in that range. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, however.

It would be really cool to have a line graph of various moneybomb revenues as a function of time so we can see how we are doing relative to other moneybombs at any given point in time.

Boy oh boy... I'm not impressed so far. Just over 5,500 people donating so far, and ~$320,000 is really quite dismal compared to the Birthday bomb. At this point, we should be over $600,000.

Out of over 500,000 facebook supporters, that's 1% donating so far! yikes...

RonPaulFever
09-17-2011, 12:38 PM
I hope they keep the ticker up all weekend and set a goal at some point. Without a goal there is less motivation to donate....I don't know what the campaign was thinking when they set this up.

Weekends are generally bad for donations. People are out and about, not at their desks.

After considering my own situation, I suppose you are right. I'm a bit hungover right now and almost forgot to donate. I assume it happens with a lot of young Ron Paul supporters on a Saturday morning, not to mention the fact that that is his biggest base of supporters.

I can kind of see why they wouldn't want to set a goal beforehand, just in case they didn't reach it, but it sure would be nice to have something to aim for.

This has nothing to do with the superbomb, people donating to the superbomb couldn't donate to this bomb anyway. It's about poor promotion/no goal setting

It's better when the campaign doesn't set goals because historically this election cycle we haven't reached the goal but one time. No goes means no negative spin.

Why are we not raising the same kind of money that we were last campaign?

We are much earlier in 2012 campaign cycle compared to 2008. The first moneybomb was in November 2007 with Iowa voting on January 3, 2008. This time the first voting is not until February 2012.

I absolutely disagree. Setting an ambitious goal always increases performance. It's better to set a goal for $2,000,000 and get to $1.5 than not set a goal and end up with 700,000

there's no evidence that setting a goal for 2 million will produce a 1.5 million total and not setting a goal at all will produce 700,000. You're literally making that up.
