Does someone know the old records for a single day fundraiser?
I hope Ron Paul is able to set a new one today...

3 million by Kerry. Romney got 6 million in pledges + donations earlier this year.

Pledges can't be counted as donations. I heard on another thread about Obama raising 6 million. Not sure if that is true or not.

Regardless, we almost certainly have the ALL-TIME record in terms of number of donors in one day for a presidential candidate. Only problem is proving it.

It's only 9am and we're 1/3rd of the way to beating Kerry! 1/6th of the way to beating Obama/Romney (assuming the above information is true).

But what's the record total raised in a 24 hour period? Most individual donations in a day? (PACs and lobby funds can't count)

Exactly. Most of these other candidates take money from lobbyists and and other special interest groups. That does not count in my book.

How many individual donations has there been in one day? Thats what we should be loking for here.
