Is the GOP’s District 9 upset evidence that President Barack Obama is losing favor among Jewish Americans? While prominent Democrats say no, others disagree vehemently.

Some, like strategist Dick Morris, have been warning about about an Obama-Jewish implosion for some time now.

As the dust settles on the special election that took place on Tuesday to replace Rep. Anthony Weiner following his infamous photo scandal, some believe that Obama’s anti-Israel policies helped to fuel the unprecedented GOP win. Considering the large number of Jews in the district, this assumption may very well be valid.

Seems like a lot of effort for 2% of the population.

Gotta look at the big brother of this group: Evangelicals. You have to be pro-Israel to gain traction with them.

But you can be pro-Israel (the country) without supporting the dreadful policies and actions of its government, just like with America. If we dialogue with Evangelicals making that distinction, and mention that God judged Israel in Old Testament times for its transgressions (to frame our critique of its current policies), we can make some progress with them or at least not energize them to support another warmonger instead of Paul. Attacking or demeaning them is counter-productive. The art of politics is not only in advancing your agenda, but in de-escalating your opposition.

Oh right, the group that supports Israel just so they can eventually eliminate jews by converting them.

No silly, they want to keep the Mooslims out so they can set up theme parks in Israel.

But yeah, you're right. :)

I don't think it's necessarily the people as much as it's the land or the idea of Israel. Christians want it protected at ANY cost because it paramount to their spirituality. They will always turn a blind eye because it's a Holy War. So there's not much point in showing them Israel mistakes, it's better to change them on foreign policy as a whole and leave Israel out of it.
