I'm sure this doesn't include the millions of defense contractors that exist solely on DOD money. You could basically add all employees of Lockheed, General Dynamics, Boeing, Northrop Grumann, etc to this total. I'd be willing to wager the number of "employees" including contractors approaches 10 million.
