Why are they polling the person in 4th and in some polls 5th?

Actually he was measured. 49-42 Obama. http://www.ipsos-na.com/download/pr.aspx?id=10985

They did measure Paul and others:

Obama vs Paul 49-42
51-37 Obama vs. Huntsman

So Romney -6, Paul -7, Romney -8, Huntsman -14, Bachmann -16.

This is a heavily democratic poll though. 48 v. 39 in favor of Democrats.

So Paul is second in electability (more than Perry, 2x more than Bachmann) only behind Romney. Sounds good to me.

Hedgehogreport left him off so that's why I didn't see Paul on there.

I think I'm banned there so can't let them know. They probably left him off because Paul doing better than Perry looks bad.

Ron Paul sits smack -dab in the middle of Romney and Perry. Romney -6, Paul -7, Perry -8.

So let me get this straight... He's 1 pt behind Romney, 1 pt above Perry, and 9 full points above of Bachman.

...But he's still not a frontrunner. That's really sound logic.

and RCP is reporting the Perry and Romney numbers, but not Paul's number, on their front page.

But wait, Paul did better than Perry. What gives?

Shhh. This is good. Paul's number would bring his RCP average down. Perry's number makes him look bad

It's up now.

But it's still a good thing. This puts RP at -5 to Obama compared to Perry's -3.3. AND RP still has a bad -10 poll up there. When the new PPP or Rasmussen comes out, he could still land on top for the head-to-head. Cross your fingers!

Why does Ron Paul still have that one WaPo poll up? That was like 2 months ago... It should have rolled off.

Also, it doesn't make sense, WaPo didn't include RP on their follow-up, but why? Ron had moved up to 3rd by that time.

After the ABC -10 poll falls off, our numbers will be better on RCP in the vs. Obama section.

RCP averages:
Romney: Obama +0.3
Paul: Obama + 3.3
Perry: Obama +3.3
Bachmann: Obama +9.8
Cain: Obama + 10.0

Ron Paul polling #3 among republicans, #2 against Obama.... WITH all the bad media/lack of media. This is good! I wonder when the media will finally acknowledge Ron Paul is a legitimate contender? When he is #1/#1 ?? They'll probably still find a way to make up some excuse as to why he's not the "front runner".
