Considering the population of Alaska ... does this mean that like 11 people have donated, or what? They aren't donating multiple times, but in the name of Reindeer are they?

I'd like to comment on that since it's been brought up (it's not really something that I wanted to start a thread about on here, so I was just waiting for someone to use the "series of tubes" phrase).
Anyway, so a while back I was watching something (I don't remember what) that had the video clip of the guy (I remember he was from Alaska, but I don't remember what he was--senator, congressman, governor, rich person,...I don't know) actually saying that "series of tubes" thing, and it struck me as possible (considering his age, and maybe the context of the speech--again, I don't remember the clip very well) that he was actually using the word 'tubes' as a reference to television, and so a "series of tubes" would be like "a lot of televisions." I was thinking that he may have been referring to advertising and censoring (or otherwise enforcing government control) the internet.
Is that legitimate possibility, or was I just being stupid?

No he was using tubes as an analogy to try to explain internet traffic. It was Ted Stevens from Alaska who (like all Alaskan congressman and Senators) is as corrupt and ignorant as they come. But what he was trying to say about the internet had some elements of truth to it. Hear is Lew Rockwell on this: http://www.lewrockwell.com/rockwell/stevens-dumb.html
