Ugh, we need to be finding out about these straw polls sooner.

Thanks to the OP--this is better than finding out the day after.

I'd prefer that we lose that poll and get that kind of money per PA person into the campaign's coffers. If yall got extras then do it up.

I didn't know about this one. Is it worth me going to it? Is the media going to report the results?

Sorry I didn't post this sooner but I didn't find out about it till today. The RNC chairman is speaking at the dinner so it has to be a pretty big deal.

Find out how many votes there were in 2007, which will give you an idea of how important your vote will be this year.

I tried to google it and best I can find 169 votes.

It sounds like 75 votes or so could easily win it then. I'd say it's worth attending.

But will it matter? I doubt the results will be reported anywhere. The $100 might be better spent donating to the campain or rev pac I think?

Look at how much attention that lobster dinner in NH got with roughly the same number of votes in the straw poll that Ron Paul won. I'd say your $100 is better spent on making sure Ron Paul wins this straw poll than on RevPAC ads. If 70 Ron Paul supporters spend 70 * 100 = $7,000 on it, I guarantee you that winning it will generate more than $7,000 in local media coverage.

Which is all supporters of Ron Paul, who believes in the youngest ideas ;)

Seriously though, what's the definition of a "Young Republican" for the purposes of this dinner?

Looks like to join Young Republican's you need to be between 18-40 years of age.
