I wish that thread was placed under "political news" so it would get more views. Oh well.

Aside from using the link posted in this thread I can't find the story on Digg anywhere. That's odd.

Yes, the bury patrol struck on this story.

It seriously makes me question the algorith when a 2000+ dugg story gets buried - how many buries do they need? 1 bury for every 20 diggs or something ridiculous? And why isn't that public like the diggs?

If you search on digg for "ron paul" in quotes in the upper right, and then with the results search again and selecting "sort newest first", and "front page stories" - check the difference between that result and when you checkmark "include buried stories".

It's staggering. A ton of front page Ron Paul stories were buried lately - a good 80% I reckon. It makes me question whether one of the moderators or whatever they have there is targeting "Ron Paul" stories for deletion, or if the bury patrol is composed of a lot of duplicate accounts. 2300+ diggs is a lot of diggs to discount.

Digg needs a at least a litte human moderation. I can understand burying a lot of the duplicate Paul links ... it's kind of like duplicate threads on here. But an editor should be able to see real news and let some of them find their own level.

I'm considering a massive BURY campaign in protest. Get every story on the top buried until they agree to stop doing that. I'm sorry but for a 2,500 digg story to be buried is crazy.

Can be considered competitor.

Most consider http://reddit.com a competitor to Digg, and yes, Nov 5th is on reddit's front page right now.

Digg's algorithm takes into account "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". This is what we get for digging up every friggin RP story that comes about.

I know some people won't want to believe this, but it's pretty obvious Digg censored the story, not the bury brigade. It was one of the most dugg Ron Paul stories I've ever seen considering the time it had on the front page. They probably don't like being a conduit for a presidential candidate's campaign, or think they might run into legal issues.
