+1 Rep for a good article. Pro-Ron Paul and it paints Trump, Cain, Bachmann, and now Perry as the media's choice of "anti-establishment" candidate (Perry is likely the least anti-establishment of those 4). The theory is that the media and the status quo wants to not only pick the establisment candidate, Romney, but also the opposition (currently, Perry).

Thanks. I think the establishment has made it easier for us to discuss those issues once Rick Perry falls, and fall he will.

Astute. That coincides with my long-standing view that Romney is the actual 'it' GOP guy selected by the establishment for 2012 (as a condition of the deal it struck with him in 2008 to 'suspend' his campaign in that race). But since Romney could not win the Christian right in early primaries and caucuses like IA and SC on his own, he needs the Perry-Bachmann distractions to split that vote up enough to get him to squeak by. Bachmann and Perry in 2012 equals Huckabee and Thompson in 2008, one will cancel the vote of the other enough to give Romney the key victories, and then conservatives will be stuck with him, just as they were stuck with mcCain in 2008.
