What party or affiliation did you have before joining the Ron Paul Revolution?

Agenda: I am curious to see what sort of diversity we have here.

Libertarian. This is a good poll. I would be curious to know what everyone here is or was.

LP personally... CP probably should've been listed here, as well as 'independent', though I guess "non-conformist" is the choice for registered independents?

I wasn't aware that the whole time of being told by liberals I was a conservative and by conservatives that I was a liberal, I was actually a libertarian.

libertarian, then anarchist, registered republican though. I'm fine with small government, small enough to not to notice at all.

I want a government small enough that I can pretend we're in an anarchy, but large enough that we don't actually descend into it :-)

Registered Republican for 30 years.

Why is there only 33 votes so far? I would love to see more vote to see how the cross section of supporters break down.

Surprised to see a big % for Libertarian...which means the big tide of disenfranchised Dem & Rep is yet to come.

I actually worked on Nader's campaign in 2000. I ddin't know much about the Constitution back then. I still think Nader is a great man, and he recognizes many of this country's problems especially with regard to our electoral processes.
Its just his solutions that I no longer agree with after 8 years of studying the Constitution and American history relative to the Revolutionary War.
Nader is an all out socialist and Ron Paul is the antithesis of that. I leanred more and more about the Libertarian party and libertarian principles and found myself more and more in agreement with their logic.
My one hangup was the environmental issue. But then I came around with that as well after realizing that in every country where the government controls environmental policy, they have by far, the worst environments and even here in this country, its own own government that is the worst polluter while the EPA can't really sue their other arms and legs or have any control over what the military does in secret which causes untold environmental destruction.

But now, I re-registered as a Republican. Never thought that would happen and everyone who knows me can't believe it after all the years of trying to convince everyone that the two party crimocracy is at the root of all political evils, and all unsolved problems and all unresolved issues.
I guess I have evolved to believe that the two party dominance of our system is mearly a tool of the power elite to keep us divided. You know the old "divide and conquer" philosophy. But now its "keep'em divided and they're already conquered". It works well.

I've considered myself a green libertarian for quite some time now. I believe that protecting our rivers, land, air and shores from toxic waste and other pollutants falls well within the constitutional authority to defend our land (though I certainly don't agree with the way we go about it today via the EPA). In this area I would still make any state law regarding protection of the local ecology trump any federal law.

Two, actually - Democrats and Republicans, I think they were called.... ;)
(That's the ole LP'er in me speaking, it's so whacky to be a Republican... hahah!)

I'm a registered Socialist, but I only did that because I hated both parties, and wasn't quite liberatarian.

LINK!. (http://www.politicalcompass.org/questionnaire)

That's the farthest to the left I've ever scored.

I find it very interesting that, after the majority of Libertarian responders, the next largest contingent is comprised of "did not take part in politics".

Unregistered. Changing that just so I can vote for Dr. Paul. :)

I never even voted before because all that I could see was a bunch of politicians and not a real leader of the people....... this time, 2008, will be the first time that I will vote.

RON PAUL......ALLLLLL THE WAY :D
