What ever happened to the blowhards, and apologists that were boasting that the TARP had actually put money back into the treasury ? Did buying those awful properties that're still devaluing almost 4 years later. Thank Bacchus- these guys don't control the stock market or minipulate it. However on that note it has been often disputed that controlling market rates and credit is in equivalence to pulling the levers.

What are you referring to specifically? Anyways, TARP is a complete failure and the number that say it paid for itself are rigged by the government.

Specifically: The failout TARP. For a time (year ago?) there was a group of people lead by I would assume Giethner, stating TARP in the long term would be a net positive.

I remember guests on Real Time touting that TARP was going to make a profit not too long ago
