Good for RP - made up for a lot of lost ground in one go. Every other candidate gets questions relating to the issues of today, but they keep hitting Paul with the "one of these kids is not like the other and that's you Paul - explain your fringe philosophy in 1 minute so we can get back to asking the others about healthcare, gas prices, and job creation!"

In regards to Perry's vaccination, if Ron said "He passed this law with an executive order, as if he was the absolute dictator of Texas!". That would make headlines. Bachmann used the word the word dictate, but the statement Paul could have made would hit Perry like a truck

I think the principle in theory is correct. If you blatantly steal life, then you are deprived of it. The real problem is that the government is so inefficient at doling out justice.

I agree, and objectively speaking I think Newt won the debate in terms of explaining problems, backing them with facts, and presenting solutions (not that he would actually do anything right if elected - I'm only judging by rhetoric here). I think Perry came out as the loser of the debate in terms of falling down a few pegs. Most other candidates probably did not gain or lose support based on what they said.

+1000000

One of the main reasons I don't want to get more involved in politics than I already have, is because it seems to be full of people like that. It's largely made up of people who actually believe that fundamentally, violence is often a solution to our problems. It's truly sickening and I have trouble not getting frustrated and stressed out by being around it.

Even if one agrees with that^, it doesn't make it a cheering, clapping, whistling event. You can meet out justice, even if horrific without getting sexually excited over it. The crowd is full of psychopaths.

I haven't seen a time breakdown per candidate but it would seem like everyone other than the center 2 should be complaining about not getting any time.

They ask about canning the Head of the Fed to half of the people but don't ask the ex Fed member Cain, or the Head of the Domestic Monetary Policy subcommittee? That's simply wrong.
