Looking at the charts, doesn't it appear a few people are blowing their wads slightly ahead of schedule today (Sunday)?

Nope. I'm watching a widget (don't worry I'm not on RonPaul2008.com!) and I'm watching the donations come in in increments of $100.

People are blowing their wads (of cash that is) prematurely. I'd like to believe they're all overseas, but the names are coming from the continental states according to the widgets.

Yes. These people aren't true Ron Paul supporters and should be ostracized from the campaign.

In related news, some supporters have mistaken Ron Paul's wikipedia article for his official website.

Unfortunately, wikipedia is having a fundraising drive (http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Fundraising) causing Ron Paul supporters to wikipedia instead! :-P

well if nov 5th is anywhere near as big as we are hoping it to be, an early (and thus missing from the nov 5th day proper) amount of $25k or even 50-75k won't be that big of a deal ...

The title of this thread and the original post are so colorful... I'm ashamed that I didn't think of it first! :D

Maybe we should get them to concentrate on baseball scores. :D

We could make fun of the Rockies.

Or in the NBA, make fun of Portland.

True, but the graph looks like the day is almost over....

not every Ron Paul supporter is aware of nov 5th...the fact that we raised 50K so far today, from what appear to be brand new supporters is pretty telling that his support is growing outside the internet crowd

11/04/07 10:44 PM EST time is set right, I tinhk the graph doesn't like a 25 hour day :)

Hahahaha. Of course, if they are red sox fans and they focus on the most recent scores, it might not have the usual effect.

Maybe these people are anticipating the server going down at some point, or perhaps they have travel arrangements or some other commitment that will not enable them to donate exactly on the 5th. As long as they are donating, I say let them come!

Thats hardly fair, what you don't know is that ironically the Blazers (and quite frankly most of their fans) have a marihuana addiction. This is a serious affliction and you should not make fun of someone for something they can't help.

Isn't it possible some people are putting where they're from, but are in Europe or Asia on business or in the military? I mean, wouldn't the whole point be that they give verifiable information, not their exact location?

Also, even if some people are donating early, which I don't think is true, it look to be at best only around maybe 500 people, though probably closer to 300. I think given the amount of subscribers that's actually a reasonable figure for people outside the U.S.

If it is military donations overseas the credit cards would be showing up as USA addresses because the card billing addresses would be from around the country.
