The need to fix the seo problems!!!

#1
Start with the title tag on the site, it sucks major ass. It is currently this:
Ron Paul 2008 Hope for America

Nobody is searching for Hope for America (besides they have it in the graphic) and it's missing the critical keyword term President - also shorter titles are better than longer titles.
They should immediately change it to be this:
Ron Paul For President 2008 (some would argue the word Republican or candidate belongs there too)

#2
The blog appears on multiple URLs - this is a major duplicate content problem that has multiple complex ramifications. blog.ronpaul2008.com should be the only one.

Mine says it's 9:44 Eastern time, when it's really 8:44 Eastern time.

Are you sure you know anything about SEO?

#2 is a major myth.

and #1 really doesnt matter much. He rules the internet.

all you have been doing is trolling against the campaign tonight.

The counter is configured to countdown from the time that is on your computer. It is different for everyone. I live in Australia and it's already the 5th of November, so the counter reads this:

He/She is talking about the Statue of LIBERTY widget not the countdown. you can see it has the wrong time next to her.

Well, I suppose the campaign could "buy" an extra hour this way, especially if they decide to turn the clock back after 1:00am....But that would be dishonest, wouldn't it?

Walt is correct on the SEO optimization, at least on point #1. If your average joe gets on the internet, searches for "president 2008" Ron Paul isn't even on the front page. With his popularity, he should be number 1. Placing that in the title would do just that, given time.

Although I don't agree with everything walt rambles on about, this holds some weight.

Personally I'm waiting an extra hour just in case.

widget on the front page of rp2008 seems to be broken - perhaps being updated?

The title alone will not get you that. But it wont hurt.

man. Maybe the campaign should let volunteers from this site manage their website. Then they could fix it like they did the Philly Rally.

I don't know anything about web design, but I imagine it would take a few minutes to fix some of these things.
