View Full Version : Why the hell is the al Qaeda links to the Libyan rebels, the killing of blacks, not news?

Am I missing something?

Not looking in the right places?

Why the hell aren't the neocons flipping out over the US backing al Qaeda rebels in Libya?

Why the hell aren't the ones who view everything through a prism of race, flipping out over the US backing of rebels that are embarking on what appears to be black genocide in Libya?

Or should I cease asking silly rhetorical questions to myself, that I mostly know the answer to already?

Even better question, why the hell was the last Republican presidential candidate (McCain) over in libya a couple months back pledging support for and hanging out with those al qaeda rebels?

The Contras were freedom fighters, The cocaine the CIA ships out of Columbia is used to fund spreading democracy thruout the world, and NATO sponsored terrorists are part of our rebel alliance.
Remember they hate us because we are free and they are just jealous of our western lifestyle, it has nothing to do with all their family members we slaughtered, that's just terrorist propaganda.
Just trust the government and everything will be just fine, after all they are here to help.

I really would like to ask...

does anyone else think it is possible that the selection of O'Bomba in '08 could have anything to do his name and complexion and making the planned collapse of 7 African and Islamic nations ( as mentioned by General Clarke in 2007 interview ) " acceptable " to Americans and the world ?

yes, i agree. and not just name/complexion.. a person (a progressive liberal!) who ran on an anti-war platform (as bush ran on a humble foreign policy platform) and blatantly went utterly completely against it. TPTB are testing how far we (americans) can be pushed. what we will stand up against/speak out against.

i swear it's all a game, but one that has very real consequences and outcomes. if the average american were actually paying attention and cared, they should be seasick by being tossed around so much.

to answer AF's (rhetorical) question: when have we not been at war with eastasia and when has eurasia not been our ally?

The Contras were "freedom" fighters. Both the Contras and Sandinistas used drug proceeds to fund their armies. Both used gruesome tactics. Although its clear the Contras (funded and trained by Americans, who also had their cocaine operation protected by the CIA, DEA, and White House) were definitely much more brutal and had less support from the local population.

And now, after all the killing and bloodshed and coke and murders and gun running and corruption to oust the Sandinista government, Daniel Ortega is back in power.

In Libya, Former Enemy Is Recast in Role of Ally

By ROD NORDLAND

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/02/world/africa/02islamist.html?_r=2

Published: September 1, 2011

TRIPOLI, Libya — Abdel Hakim Belhaj had a wry smile about the oddity of his situation.

Yes, he said, he was detained by Malaysian officials in 2004 on arrival at the Kuala Lumpur airport, where he was subjected to extraordinary rendition on behalf of the United States, and sent to Thailand. His pregnant wife, traveling with him, was taken away, and his child would be 6 before he saw him.

In Bangkok, Mr. Belhaj said, he was tortured for a few days by two people he said were C.I.A. agents, and then, worse, they repatriated him to Libya, where he was thrown into solitary confinement for six years, three of them without a shower, one without a glimpse of the sun.

Now this man is in charge of the military committee responsible for keeping order in Tripoli, and, he says, is a grateful ally of the United States and NATO.

And while Mr. Belhaj concedes that he was the emir of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, which was deemed by the United States to be a terrorist group allied with Al Qaeda, he says he has no Islamic agenda. He says he will disband the fighters under his command, merging them into the formal military or police, once the Libyan revolution is over.

He says there are no hard feelings over his past treatment by the United States.

“Definitely it was very hard, very difficult,” he said. “Now we are in Libya, and we want to look forward to a peaceful future. I do not want revenge.”

As the United States and other Western powers embrace and help finance the new government taking shape in Libya, they could face a particularly awkward relationship with Islamists like Mr. Belhaj. Once considered enemies in the war on terror, they suddenly have been thrust into positions of authority — with American and NATO blessing.

Although I see a lot more hot women at Albertsons and Fred Meyer.

AU: Libyan rebels may be killing black people

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/08/29/501364/main20098777.shtml I wonder too , I have answers and more questions . First , war is ok if the Dem Senate and Dem president do it . The anti war left only shows when it is a pub , second , killing people because of race and religion has become fairly acceptable in that neck of the woods and is accepted by many . Third , MOST , of these people are ignorant of the prophet of the religion they profess ( you know , the guy who tolerated others and said they were allowed to practise other religions etc )
