Who are these people? Notice how Ron polls higher with people who say they AREN'T the Tea Party?

Nevada, eh? That is very interesting, TexMac. The part that weirds me out is that Mitt Romney is ranked so high by Nevada tea partiers. Now, that is just bizarre. The 4% and 7% numbers for Ron Paul sure do tell us that we have a LOT more work to do.

"Neo-Tea Party" are the ghosts of McCain 2008. They lost their political shirts when Obama beat them, and they had to hijack the "tea party" to save face. UNFORTUNATELY they still think they can shove their neo-con crap down every ones throats under the disguise of Tea Party.A lot of them were the "vote for mccain cause its a better choice than obama" kind of people.

I can't figure this out at all. There are a lot of Mormons in NV that you would expect to be for Romney, but they don't call themselves Tea Party, do they?

That thread may help explain this phenomenon.

This neo-tea party are just hyped up Sean Hannity listeners who took to the streets. Most of them anyway. Some are actually paying attention, but they are still playing with the constitution on the I agree with the parts that help what I already believe and throw the rest out. i.e. foreign policy.

I saw that Politico article, but I don't think it explains this poll. Maybe if everyone in NV thinks they're Tea Party except the Mormons. Very confusing.

Tea Party 2007/2008 =! Tea Party 2011.

We got hijacked somewhere along the way by bandwagoning neo-cons.

The Tea Party has been completely co-opted. You should just call it The Republican Party.

which I don't understand why he has since gone and sabotaged his career with his fixation on religion. He was one of the most influential people in the country for a few months, but he just couldn't leave his urge to preach alone. Good by Glen. Your dumb cable channel will fail.

Glenn is definitely someone who I will never ever trust. What do you see in this picture?

It's a masonic conspiracy!I'd love to know where I can buy a plain sweater with a big patch that has a compass ,skull and numerology on the sides.Don't think for once that a show host would accidentally wear that on the air.

Listen, folks. The Nevada numbers are not the same as others around the country. If you don't like the direction the tea party is going, then get involved in your states and spread the word. The tea party still represents most of those republicans who do not like what our federal government is doing and the direction they have been heading. If you throw in the towel on them, you have thrown in the towel on any chance whatsoever of Ron Paul winning the Republican nomination. So, I'd rethink your position.

EDIT: Bachmann is going to drop out at some point. I would imagine well enough in time to run for her Congressional seat. Cain is DOA. If we do our jobs, Perry will be outed for the liar that he is. This means a whole lot of people are going to be looking for another candidate. The only one left that is for small government is Paul.

All this poll does is tell us that we have a lot of work to do. We need to get in there and understand why at this point Paul is turning them off. I would imagine the reason for a number of them is that they misunderstand him.
