It would be better to change the politics in the US by running for office under the Ron Paul ideal.

Send me a PM, we can daydream together on IM or something and start planning.

I won't be joining you. I love the U.S.

Well at least the 3rd time this has been asked. And the whole world is in elite control. Just observe which leaders have been to visit the Vatican. If the USA goes down then there will be no where except maybe where the elite protect their money, Switzerland. Hard to be a citizen unless one marries into it.

Hong Kongs 15% flat tax on income and corperations....http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2007/10/08/hong-kongs-flat-tax-may-drop-to-15-percent/

Not bad if it will stay that way.

If Ron Paul doesn't make it, I'm thinking Tahiti, the Dominican Republic, Switzerland, or possibly Ireland. The Free State Project looks really good, but I'm not sure it'll be in place in time to fend off impending martial law in the next year or two.

Same here - but I WILL be leaving the Police State known as Florida. My exit strategy is to pack my survivalist gear and head for my beloved hills of Kentucky - back to farming and living off the land as well as living off the grid. Living Free is more than just a slogan on a bumper sticker!

I figure I should build up a network of some friends and plan to leave the country. The question is: where to?

Canada -> NAU.
Mexico -> NAU.
UK -> Total big-brother, camera state
China? Don't like political structure.
New Zealand? No jobs.
Australia? In bed with the US + global elite evils.

India is looking good. Lot of poverty, but they have a central bank that is not privately owned. Their nuclear neighbor can't strike the southern tip of the country because the nuke range isn't very long. Internet access is available, markets are strong, a democracy. Lots of IT jobs.

I'm thinking that a good, third-world location that isn't too closely aligned with the evil global elites and doesn't have too much oil/resources for contention/war is the best place to go.

Thoughts?

Send me a PM, we can daydream together on IM or something and start planning.

Unless you're Indian by descent, it is impossible to become a citizen (white people need not apply).

The Socialist Republic of Swedistan is not too bad (I saw the writing on the wall in 1998 and began preparations to leave). It's definitely a soft totalitarianism here. Here's a little story to illustrate. While I was studying as an exchange student from UCLA in 2001, I was with an Iraqi friend in Malmö, the third largest city in Sweden, and wanted to go to the racetrack. We were walking down the street and I said hey let's ask someone for directions. The next person we saw was a beat cop. Before I could say to Ahmed, hey, no, no not him, it was too late. But contrary to my inclinations, the guy actually treated us like human being who wanted to know how to get somewhere instead of getting a macho bad energy-filled gruff dismissal that would have brought bad luck at the track at the least (and much worse at the worst). That day I decided to live in Sweden. I can think of better places and worse places. When unassimilable immigrants start to render life here a certain degree of miserable, I will probably white flee to Iceland, the Faroe Islands or a less populated part of Sweden.

Before Paul decided to run, I often daydreamed of a group of liberty loving people founding a new country. It would be impossible...no more land left. Maybe some country in South American would be willing to sell off a chunk, but it is not likely. I can dream though.

Negative. If Ron Paul doesn't get past the primaries then I will begin anti-campaigning for presumably Hillary and Rudy.

Every time one of these threads come up, I have the same answer. There is no need to move to another country. Your best efforts are spent moving to a different state: New Hampshire.

Check out the Free State Project http://freestateproject.org/

I'm curious if people still don't know about this, or if they do know about it, but for some reason would rather move to a different country? If so, why?

It's just too bad NH is so cold. Can't we get something started in NC or something? lol
I'd always thought about New Zealand. Build myself a home that looked like one of those hobbit homes in LOTR. But unless I took up farming, I don't think there'd be much in the way of jobs.
So I guess I'll stay here and continue the revolution. Maybe we can get some negotiations going for freeing a warmer state too. :cool:
