I'd like to hear a similarly structured speech about the morality of having troops in foreign countries knowing that it means sacrificing lives.
He could tell the story of the teacher killed in action and how the thought of having to kill someone made him decide to go into medicine.
Bringing the troops home is not just about economics, stimulus and minding our own business, its about RP's pro-life, pro-the individual philosophy.
A speech like this could re-ignite the lost anti-war feelings of potential blue republicans.
I think emphasising the human side of the philosophy all round might be a good direction. A bit less economics, a bit more painting a picture of what a freer society could be like.
