Exactly.

I'd honestly rather that not happen, especially if Rand continues to have an interventionist foreign policy.

Ron must be scaring the crap out of them. Yet another article discounting his chances of winning the nomination. Noses back to the grindstone, folks. We are gaining on them. :)

So now it is no longer a 3rd party bid, but he's paving the way for Rand in 2016.

I hope he locks these kinds of people out of the White House and only takes interviews from Cavuto, Cafferty, ect.

I like Ron better. Let's have him win in 2012 and 2016.

Rand would KO Perry if there was even a squeak he was running.

Personally, I do not care for this kind of speculation. "They" keep pushing that Ron is not in this to win, but only has secondary motives, such as promoting ideas....and now his son.

I said it before and I'll say it again.

Either Ron or Rand Paul WILL be the 45th President of the United States.

Rand Paul is to Ron Paul what Robert F Kennedy was to John F Kennedy in the sense that they were family. Barry Goldwater is to Barry Goldwater Jr. as Rand is to Ron.The potential is there.

rand's two terms on the heels of ron's two terms seems in reach, now! seriously!

?!?! Wtf?!!? Lol wut?!

I know. Don't try to make sense of it. I can't. Rand is not quite as non-interventionist as his dad. But he is pretty damn close. He just plays the political game better. And this pisses some people off.

Sincerely,

Slutter McGee

Guess you missed Rand signing a letter calling for sanctions on Iran. Plus being ok with the Libya resolution before the no-fly zone language was added, which had two horrible, interventionist provisions: one calling for Qaddafi to step down, and another to continue supporting the rebels in Libya.

You can be kind of interventionist, but you cannot be kind of non-interventionist. Compromising on this principle is an absolute betrayal for me.

How has he votedon these issues?

Considering he OK'd the Libya bill through Senate hotline before the no-fly language was issued, he voted for asking Qaddafi to step down and for supporting the rebels in Libya.

He also said during the campaign that it's time to get tough with Iran and to stop talking tough. Given that he's signed a letter urging sanctions on Iran, it's safe to say he'd vote that way as well. Being a Senator is more than just voting, too; especially for Senators who fancy themselves a leader of a movement. Advocating interventionist positions is as bad as voting for them when you aren't the deciding vote.

This wants to make me campaign even harder. I don't know why, but knowing why is not necessary at the moment.
