Writes Bob Murphy (http://consultingbyrpm.com/blog/2011/08/al-sharpton-and-others-discuss-the-prophet-ron-paul.html):

I can’t believe this is happening. People on MSNBC are talking about Friedrich Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, the gold standard, and Ron Paul as a prophet. If they bring up David Gordon, I’m going to pass out.

Is this part of an agenda to further paint us as cultists? I'm not aware of any/many of Dr. Paul's supporters referring to him as a "prophet" and I'm quite certain that Dr. Paul would frown about being referred to that way.

If its the bobbleheads in the MSM calling him that, I don't see how they can paint us as cultists. But normal rules do not apply in Bizarro World I guess.

I believe it's the new Times article that uses the term "prophet", probably in reference to predictions of various economic occurrences.

The fact the Time is covering him is strange since they are a fount of propaganda. However, this clip shows they are using the Time coverage to roll out the same tired message of "he's unelectable". If he's not a political force, then why are so many politicians like Perry imitating him?

I love the way they say "Ron Paul's votes have to go somewhere." in suggesting Paul supporters may end up supporting Perry. My vote will never go to a plastic puppet. This presidential election I'm voting for RON PAUL. Period.

This was a good way for them to spread mis-information about RP's Social Security plan. Otherwise it was halfway decent. Sharpton had a positive and accurate message.

Well,it is possible you will have deflation. If the monetisation is stopped, the economy crashes and if it is maintained, prices will respond to the inflation.Maybe they are trying to skewer him to inflation when they intend to let it end in a deflationary crash? (Assuming it hits before the election).
