I'd like to see if it can withstand a heavy duty dynamic entry tool. That would be illegal in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has a new law that makes it a crime to “fortify” a citizen’s home against possible entry by law enforcement.

State Rep. Sue Tibbs was one of the sponsors of a bill that makes it unlawful for “any person to willfully fortify an access point into any dwelling, structure, building or other place where a felony offense prohibited by the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act is being committed, or attempted, and the fortification is for the purpose of preventing or delaying entry or access by a law enforcement officer, or to harm or injure a law enforcement officer in the performance of official duties.”

The law (http://www.infowars.com/oklahoma-law-makes-home-fortification-illegal/) took effect Nov. 1.

TMike

Edit:... if you are subject to the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act.

So the drug dealer just says it was to keep robbers from stealing his drugs I guess.

Oh, eventually they will get in. But delaying them would let you determine if it's cops or a home invasion, and if it is the cops it will give you time to put your dog up so he won't get shot.

They did a helluva job in WW2. Had to be removed by the engineers before heavy vehicles could come ashore. To be fair, vehicles can move, so they only had to remove a few channels, but in a war channeled tanks are a lot easier to blow up.

Hell yeah
You had to blow these things up with heavy explosives to move past them.

Dragons teeth were nasty too.

These work even better if you leave a few discreet spaces they can get through, and then mine the frell out of them.

I've also thought of making my own doors that have a 1/8 steel plate sandwiched in the middle with three dead bolts on it, top, center, and bottom, and having a plate on the wall jam like this on has. I think it would be easier to go through the wall than the door.

A few years back I read a story about a biker club that was having a problem with the police. They reinforced their walls and doors, then built a moat around the club to keep the heavy equipment away.

Nice.

An addendum. Also keeps windows intake in case of nearby explosions!

And for comparison, this is WITHOUT the film:

The way most american houses are built they can just go through those 3inches of drywall people have for walls.

Bet it would be good for preventing hurricane damage too.We have that film on our car windows in Mexico. Some guy tried to smash it with a hammer, didn't break. It's amazing, so much cheaper and lighter than getting armored glass, which we don't really need.

With a plywood frame and some rebar, you can make "portable" ones that you can emplace with your tractor mounted ditch digger. Just sayin'.

I guess there is one downside to doing this. If there was a fire in your house, the fire dept may not be able to get to you in time. I guess it depends on which is of bigger concern to you, a fire or no knock invasion.

Or invasion period. Doesn't have to be police. Could be a guy or a group looking to rob your house. I bet you could talk your home insurance company into a much lower rate because of the extra security.

noxagol
08-27-2011, 05:32 AM
I'd also like to point out that all of this security is meaningless if you don't have something to make the invader go away. Be it a security system that will summon police (better than nothing), a loud alarm that will alert neighbors and have them call the police, or a gun and being home. All this security stuff will only delay them from getting in.

slightly different approach, but along the same vein...

DMT fumigator in a sealed foyer, for those guests that need to be entertained while you are still preparing

or a trap door on porch that drops any and all unwanted visitors into pit of hungry crocodiles

Firefighters are smarter than cops, they pry doors, not kick them in.
A simple hydrant spanner wrench will open most deadlock style doors in 2 secs flat.

Anything you can't take out with the spanner, call in the rabbit tool. Door will open.

I'm guessing most burglars who encounter this will go away to find an easier target, not to mention they would be worried about causing attention having to make so much racket trying to get in.

All depends on the circumstances at hand really. You need to increase the risk to possible invaders as high as possible.

that could probably work as well

a friend shared a puff or two of the 10 or 15 extract with me a few years ago and immediately was taken to a place I often see and visit in dreams and other states

after relating that to my friend, he told me he always sees the same area in, where he believes is Mexico, the people all wearing similar kind of long robes

it seemed to last just a few minutes, but was interesting experience
