New to the forum, need help from you guys with this project(Everyone can be a part of it)

Hey guys and girls! I'm new to the Ron Paul forums, but I just wanted to post my idea for a Ron Paul T-Shirt Day that takes place every Monday to the forums! I made a youtube account about two days ago, and I already have almost 2,000 views from Ron Paul supporters, so thanks for everyone who has viewed my video already!!

My idea is to just wear a Ron Paul shirt every single Monday, or whatever day of the week that you and your friends think will suit you, and then to check back in every Monday on my Youtube account, and see how many people have joined us in this campaign! Also, not only is this a place to get together to communicate about just t-shirts, this can be an area where we can talk about bigger ideas that go even bigger than this and stream into all roots of campaigning.

Before I get any negative feedback, I want everyone to step back for a second, and really think about how big this impact can be.

For the most part, most hard-core Ron Paul supporters are spread out all over the country, but this project will help identify the supporters who aren't as hardcore as us, and help bring them into campaigning with us. Another thing to ponder on is that a lot of Ron Paul supporters don't have enough time to go to any sort of political meet-up group, go door to door campaigning for Ron, or try to do something bigger than something like this, so it will help bring us together as a community, and I believe this project can grow exponentially....We have the best grassroots campaigning skills out of any campaign that has ever probably ran for any type of election, and this impact can be nationwide!

The biggest thing is this: Wearing a t-shirt does not seem like a big deal at all, but it will help identify Ron Paul supporters, and each person that you get to wear a Ron Paul t-shirt will turn into a vote! And each new Ron Paul supporter will be telling all of their family and friends about this effort, so the outcome will be HUGE! (:

My challenge to all of you is to make a youtube account, join in on this effort, and make a video in response to mine every week so that we can all come together, and spread this nationwide.

I'm so thrilled to have heard so much from you Ron Paul supporters already! This is only the beginning! (: Can't wait to hear from all of you with your input for further campaigning and how this Monday turns out for you.

Most Ron Paul supporters have Ron Paul friends, but don't do anything extra-curricular to go out of their way to help him. This is an easy, and fun way to capture the attention of many, and requires little effort in doing so.





Also, I'm looking for a starting base of just 5-10 Ron Paul supporters to really stay active with my youtube account, and post videos on my page, because I want this project to have a "Pay it forward" attitude...For those of you who don't know, the expression "pay it forward" is used to describe the concept of asking that a good turn be repaid by having it done to others instead.....so hopefully this effort can really spread like wildfire!

Could I suggest maybe Fridays or the weekends instead? Mainly, because it seems that most people are more social or publicly active during those days, thus increasing exposure. This is a great idea, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that doesn't "get out much" on Monday and would definitely be motivated to sport my Ron Paul gear to my typical outings to the bar, dinner, movies, etc. that I generally do on Fridays or weekends.

My channel has similar age demographics, and I always wondered why.. I think it's because teenagers are using their parents comuters, who are 35-54.. because my channel doesn't really cater to this demographic. But anyway..

Here is my thread that I was talking about earlier. I imagine if people see more than one person wearing the shirt in a day they would probably be more likely to ask what it's about. Although I disagree with you on the day. I think Friday or Saturday would have been better (more people out shopping/movies/moseying around etc....) means more exposure.

I don't find that staying on topic is always necessarily productive in a 10 page thread. If the goal is to keep it bumped, then sometimes you have to change the direction of the conversation to keep it at the top of the forum. Otherwise it drops like a rock.

Many businesses have a casual Friday. Friday is better then Monday for that reason alone. At the weekend going out in public happens more often(simply because less people are at work), so Saturday and Sunday is good also.

I think either could work, I don't think mondays is really that bad, I think people are exaggerating how bad monday would be. I think its fine personally. You could make your own poll by starting a new thread and there's a poll option on the bottom.

Well for students Monday is good, but some work places will only allow tee-shirts on causal Fridays. And some work places will not allow political shirts either.
Try Mondays first and see how it goes.

Wore mine today (Monday) but didn't get a photo taken. But it's Labor Day. With the Hatch Act, wearing it to work is a "no go".
I had an idea though that might be something to try. We have pub crawls for Ron Paul. How about a Mall Crawl? Lots of people with RP shirts scattering around all the stores in a mall and then maybe meeting somewhere afterwards for food (food court?) It would be fun for the younger members of the R3volution who can't pass the ID test to go in a pub. And small groups could do the same thing for little outings like grocery store shopping. If it didn't seem too organized, it would be more like the RP supporters were ubiquitous..."Oh, hey! Wow! You're wearing a Ron Paul shirt, too! Small world."
