Since we are terrorists/extremists/racists/bigots etc...I am sure, some way or another, we created Hurricane Irene.
What else can we blame on the Tea Party...?

It's a little known fact that the tea party caused the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic.

the tea party dumped tea into major bodies of water, polluting them.... pollution causes global warming... global warming creates warmer sea temps... warmer sea temps create more/bigger hurricanes....
folks, it may be years later, but we are just now feeling the effects of all those tea parties. hold on!

Damn it Al Gore was right.
In all seriousness if this thing is a direct hit on the eastern seaboard it's not going to be funny anymore.

absolutely 100% agreed. the population density (major metropolitan) in the areas that the storm surge is expected to hit will not make for a rosy situation.
the downside of the projected landfall: the storm surge peak coincides with the something called the"spring tide"-- one of the highest tidal occurrences of the year.
the one potential saving grace: saturday/sunday landfall-- maybe more people will choose to head inland for the weekend.
