The comments are full of 305th viewers. Can anyone explain what Youtube is doing to the view counts for Ron Paul videos?

Are some well-meaning but foolish supporters of the cause trying to inflate the numbers and getting them locked? (Google claims to lock view counts when "abuse" is detected)

You can put your tinfoil down because this is how the youtube counter works; after it reaches 300something it freezes and is updates only after a few hours later, it happens with every video every time.

Youtube is always slow to update the view count with everybody. Look at the youtube partners... 300 views, 2100 comments, ect.

I know the video counter gets screwed on most videos, regardless of content.

I don't understand how they can stream high definition video to tens of millions, but they seem to lack the intelligence/resources to update a counter more often than once every 10 hours.

When a video starts to get a lot of views Youtube starts migrating it to several servers. The count is typically frozen low 300's. Once it's migrated the view count will catch up.

I love how one of these posts come up every few days. It really shows how ridiculous always jumping to conspiracies is. Hopefully some people realize this and stop falling for the BS Alex Jones and others put out there.
