One of Moammar Gadhafi's sons whom the rebels claimed to have captured appeared tonight with the Libyan strongman's troops, telling reporters that his father was safe in Tripoli and that the balance of power has shifted.

"We have broken the backbone of the rebels. It was a trap," Seif al Islam Gadhafi told the BBC. "We gave them a hard time, so we are winning."

Seif al Islam was seen laughing, carried on the shoulders of government soldiers and riding on a tank near the Rixos Hotel, where many foreign journalists are staying.

When asked by reporters whether Gadhafi was safe, Seif al Islam laughed and said, "Of course."

I have a very liberal friend I talk to every couple days. He was AGAINST the patriot act, iraq and thought it was time we left afghanistan. Every time we talked for the last 8 or so years he brought these things up. He said bush was a warmonger amongst other things. He was very happy to vote for obama. Now...he talks about how we need the patriot act, we can't leave afganistan and iraq till things are cleared up and rebuilt, we need to be intervening in libya and we also need to do everything possible include invading iran if they continue to pursue nuclear energy and weapons. What is sad is that he is very intelligent but watches the MSM and especially MSNBC.

The amount of media spin and propaganda is unbelievable. It is clear beyond doubt that the people really in charge of this country and western civilization are not the elected representatives. The corporations, banks, MIC and other special interests literally own the media not to mention most of the politicians. Just wonder how much longer before it all implodes.
