PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama is closely matched against each of four possible Republican opponents when registered voters are asked whom they would support if the 2012 presidential election were held today. Mitt Romney leads Obama by two percentage points, 48% to 46%, Rick Perry and Obama are tied at 47%, and Obama edges out Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann by two and four points, respectively.

This should be thrown in the face of every person who says he is unelectable. The campaign should work this into some of RP's interviews and speeches.

Imagine how well RP would do if the MSM would actually cover him.

No question he would dominate the national polls if that were to happen.

I find it absurd that anyone other than Paul would beat Obama. Just means we have to keep plugging away at this thing.

Relative to bachmann and parry, yes. I'm guessing this reflects the increased name recognition of all candidates.

They're just throwing us a bone, because were pissed about the noncoverage of RP. I say we shouldn't let this satisfy us one bit. March onward people!!

The only other one I could see beating Obama, besides Paul, is huntsman, but yeah. Definitely not perry, possibly Romney though.

How odd is it that a story about Paul Ryan is just below the poll about "Paul."
