View Full Version : RP Booth at Clay County Fair (Iowa)

If anyone is willing to help run a Ron Paul 2012 booth at the upcoming Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa, PLEASE let me know.


The Clay County Fair is September 10-18th this year. It had an estimated attendance of 325,000 last year and is billed as "The World's Largest County Fair". This is an outstanding opportunity to promote Dr. Paul in conservative-friendly Northwest Iowa.

We've already got the table, banners and supplies covered, so all we need is people to help setup and man the booth during the day. Any length of time that people are able to come would be a huge help.

Just got an email from a second local Iowan who is willing to help! Thanks to cbc4l for sending me some contact info. We now have 2 who can come at least part time, but they won't be able to handle the whole fair themselves. Strength in numbers people! We have consistently gotten MUCH better responses when there are at least 2 people in the booth at all times, so please, if you are able to help, or know anyone I can contact to help, please let me know!

This fair ends with an Alan Jackson concert for pete's sake. HUGE attendance.

and I think many here will be pleased to know I took the best submissions from the "grassroots ad" thread, made a slideshow, and left that playing for passerby on my laptop.

This type outreach is very effective, even more so when staffed by locals...

Well we got turned down for a booth as they had already finalized their vendors for this year. But the good news is there is a local Ron Paul supporter who was already planning on parking his 30ft RV outside the fair, throwing up some banners and handing out literature. So I'm going to try to coordinate with him and help him out as much as possible.
