I've been using this metaphor for years. If Ron Paul says something, and no one reports it, does it make a sound?

That depends. Was there something else there that made a smaller, more insignificant sound they could report on instead?

The sound would have to be very similar to the sounds of drone attacks. Possibly the sound of the dollar losing value. Either way, it would have to be far more newsworthy of a sound than Dr. Paul actually falling, or coming in 2nd in the Ames Straw Poll.....

If Ron Paul were to fall in the forest, the media would use it to prove that he is weak and make a story about his age... And then they would do the usual routine, call him an isolationist and ask him about a third party run...

If Ron Paul were to fall in the forest the media would report about how they failed to report about Ron Paul falling in the forest thus creating a time space continuum and the vortex of Sarah Palin would suck in all the reporters.
