Any idea about the date on this?

I have no idea. I saw it on FB and it looks like its getting almost zero attention, so I decided to share.

Any idea about the date on this?

Has to be recent because if you notice the words on the screen it is advertising the time for coverage of Obama's Illinois speech and also includes the "road to the white house" logo.

This is huge. Make this go viral. This needs to be known to destroy Perry. Send it to Alex Jones? Drudge?

Everyone knows the banks are evil. Him siding with the banks would be a HUGE turn off to pretty much everyone.

lolololololol that's a "definite Bank Of America will help you out" - As soon as Rick Perry Figured out he was trying to talk to him, Rick Perry tried to look away as to not draw attention to what he was saying.

Hopefully, some will mirror the video (and put on places like live link) because the powers that be will try their best to cover it up and cspan is likely to pull it if its on their site.

Ok, I am fully against Rick Perry and think he is the next Bush, but how the hell do we know that guy is really with BoA? Us Ron Paul supporters are usually a suspicious bunch not fooled easily, so I am just saying lets apply some of that suspicion to this situation as well. It could be a plant to make Perry look bad. Knowing it would get picked up by somebody on the internet. Sometimes we dont scrutinize what we want to be true. If it is true and legitimate, I agree lets spread this around ASAP!

What are you people talking about? This is clearly a dubbed over voice. The background noise goes to zero when the voice starts...

Edit: After watching the actual video I see that it indeed is true. The youtube definitely sucks and appears fake but the real video feed on c-span definitely shows the gentleman with glasses and gray around the edges saying "Bank of America, we will help you out." It occurs at the 40 minute mark. Someone needs to make a better clip than the one in the OP.

Glad to see someone with a voice of reason.

Some of you are wayyyy too conspiratoidal - you'll believe anything that validates your preconceived notions. Not even saying it's false, but for chrissakes - before discrediting yourselves (further), why not verify your facts before putting your and Ron Paul's name on something? Why not confirm that the guy who *allegedly* said this, actually is associated with BoA?

What is really weird is that he is saying it AS he is walking away from him. It honestly looks like something a drug dealer would do. Just kind of step by the person and hand them something secretively.

Haha, maybe it is their new slogan. "Bank of America - We'll help you out!"

Not sure what the controversey is. According to the Supreme Court, corporations are people with extra privileges. They can pay and bribe politicians as much as they want, and politicians can pay them back as much as they want. Everything is kosher here, nothing illegal at all.

Perry awarded $20 million to Countywide Financial. The company subsequently ran into legal trouble because of its predatory loans and, as the economy turned south, was subsequently bought up by Bank of America (which happens to be one of the big federal bailout recipients).

Then there was Washington Mutual. In 2005, Perry gave a $15 million handout of taxpayer money to the nation's largest savings and loan. Again, the promise was jobs. Instead, WaMu foundered and federal regulators had to step in (and ultimately get swallowed up by JPMorgan Chase) - but only after the ailing lender's political fund made campaign contributions to Perry.

They can pay and bribe politicians as much as they want, and politicians can pay them back as much as they want. Everything is kosher here, nothing illegal at all.True and this is where Ron Paul needs to expose the FASCISM being conducted between Corporations and Government in America today. I would love to hear Ron say...
Grassroots are People who we are suppose to represent... look at these other candidates up here; Corporatist Romney spends his time with special interest friends on Wall St and even travels to London's financial district for campaign cash. Rick Perry, caught live with Bank of America saying they will help Perry out and much of his big donations are from corporate America. Obama, private $38,000 a plate fund raisers across the country from special interest elitist, wealth, and corporations. IF any of these establishment, status quo politicians make it to the White House, who do you think they are going to represent first? It will be the continuance of disastrous policies, disintegration of the middle classes, and continued decline in thestandard of living for Americans.

ravedown
08-19-2011, 10:50 AM
this will be ignored...a favored candidate getting contributions from a mega-bank is status quo...remember, perry is chosen to lead the GOP. the most press it will get is maybe a brief mention by schultz or maddow. he'll get the benefit of the " so what, they all do it."

Politico picks it up (http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0811/Bank_of_America_official_promises_to_help_Perry.ht ml?showall)...

Update: Bank of America spokesman gives a pretty lousy answer (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0811/61729.html):

Bank of America does not endorse Presidential candidates. The reference was about following up on the substance of the speech about job creation and economic growth. Discussing policy issues that affect our company and our customers is something we do with policymakers of both parties routinely at the local, state, and Federal levels.

We'll help you out with... growing the economy? Yeah right. I'm just happy this video is getting spread around. I was afraid lamestream outlets wouldn't pick it up.

SWATH
08-19-2011, 02:27 PM
In the original video it sounds like he says "Bank of America, we will help you out with the run" or "with the campaign" but that part is pretty muted on the website but that may make all the difference since Mahoney is claiming that he meant he would help getting the economy back on track and Perry apparently voiced his support of.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/08/great-moments-in-pr-comedy-starring-rick-perry-and-the-b-of-a/243882/

Bank of America officially commented on it. Admitting it was one of their guys, but

"Bank of America does not endorse Presidential candidates. The reference was about following up on the substance of his speech about job creation and economic growth. Discussing policy issues that affect our company and our customers is something we do with policymakers of both parties routinely at the local, state, and Federal levels."

And guess what, google shows 17 articles, while some story on stem cell and rick perry gets 320 articles.

The media bias is strong with this one.

We can't let this die. Everyone needs to know! Thanks to Ron Paul, bankers are high on the list of most hated people. If we can associate that Rick Perry is just another puppet following the elite, his numbers will dwindle.
