Yeah, and I'll bet their internal polls are showing the same thing.

Looking at the lack of interest in the other Republican candidates at the straw polls--with the party bosses attempting to conduct reeducation at the straw polls before the vote. You just have wonder if the apathy might translate to one big "stay at home" primary showing. Works for me--as long as RP supporter get out and vote.

It's still blowing my mind that Paul and his campaign never seem to mention how well they're doing in these nationwide straw polls. Paul should have brought it up on Leno and every other time someone has said that he's not leading in the "polls" without specifying what type.

when u have an archaic system such as hard line phone polling the numbers are gonna be way off imo but when u have a system that requires putting boots on the ground its obviously gonna be much more accurate. yeah i think that would be a great retort to the 'low phone polling' thing.

I agree, this kind of stuff should be bigger news. If you go to
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/straw-poll-results
and do some counting, you'll find that out of the 40 straw polls he's attended, he's taken the gold in 50% of them. More than any other repub. He's also taken 2nd or 3rd in a little over 25% of them. Bottom tier? Are you kidding me? These straw polls, if nothing else, are supposed to represent what hardcore, motivated and highly active republicans want. I don't care what a republican who's motivated enough to answer a land-line phone poll has to say. I think what matters more is who's motivated enough to participate in their OWN parties straw polls.

This stuff needs to be mentioned more. We are real. We are not spammers. Ron Paul is winning.

http://washoecountygop.org/2007/10/27/straw-poll-results-at-caucus-training-meeting-thursday-october-25-2007/

The caucus training meeting at Reno High School, Thursday, October 25, 2007, had a good turnout with over 200 people attending. A Presidental straw poll was conducted during the meeting. Not all attendees turned in ballots. However, the result from those who voted was:
Ron Paul 41.9 %
Rudy Giuliani 18.8
Mitt Romney 13.7
Duncan Hunter 11.1
Mike Huckabee 5.1
John McCain 4.3
Fred Thompson 2.6
Gen. David Petraeus .9
Sam Brownback .9
Tom Tancredo .9

This one hasn't been reported yet on ronpaul2008.com, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Yet another "poll" with honest-to-goodness real, live people goes our way.
