"Paul, who often runs strongly in straw polls, might have provided the biggest surprise of the day. But he has yet to demonstrate the broad appeal needed to win primaries or caucuses. Still, his finish is recognition that the iconoclastic conservative with the small-government message has greater resonance today than four years ago."
And here's one of the more recent comments . . .
U.S. Representative Michelle Bachman was on Meet the Press this morning and she sounds like a robot, much like the other radical right republicans with their mantras and pledges. Can't imagine listening to her for four hours, let alone four years. However, many voters will be drawn to her simplistic, misleading positions such as she wants to get government out of our pockets. Who is she trying to kid? She, and all other politicians, are making their living from government.
