Hope this is reflected in our next round of polling.

As we get closer to the IA/NH Caucus/Primary, visitor and account numbers going to go up from here I would imagine, those that are looking to actively participate in real life activities as opposed to just brainstorming. Personally was really active in 07/08, I stopped in for the Rand Paul's senatorial run and helped out then and stopped coming to the forums until just before the straw poll to become active again for this campaign. Would imagine a lot of supporters from 2007/2008 are going to start coming out of the woodwork to do the same soon and bring their friends along that maybe new to Ron Paul Forums.

welcome to all of the new folks. please donate to Ron's campaign.

Even a paltry $5 or $10 can drive up their total number of NEW donors for this quarter, which will allow Ron's campaign to send out a press release at the end of the quarter, besting all of the other candidates. Give the media some new donor numbers that they cannot ignore.

Remember to donate to Ron's official website, www.RonPaul2012.com.

My story is similar. The inexcusable, unethical blackout (2012 Iowa straw poll) drove me to google "ron paul forums". The rest is hornet history*.

I just joined so I'm one of the new folks. I've been keeping up with news of Ron Paul since his 2008 run actually but didn't know about this forum until recently. It wasn't the media blackout but rather watching the recent debate that inspired me to do a Google search for a Ron Paul oriented forum.

Are there any other active Ron Paul forums in addition to this one?

I was on here quite a bit back in 07 and 08, and after the election I decided to get off the online and be more active in the Real world. Picked up some experience working for candidates (not all that I liked, but to beat them, you have to understand them) Now I am back to destroy them. Been great to see some old names. Watched the ROn Paul movie and I nearly cried. So much we accomplished and its time to eclipse it!

I had been periodically lurking for a while and always liked what I heard from Paul, so I thought I would finally join the conversation. Now it is Liberty or Bust.

Even just talking to people in real life, Liberty is gathering momentum. I always try to slip the message into everyday conversation, very subtly sometimes given the situation, and whether it is a comment on hard money and Austrian economics to non-intervention and the miserable results of our interventions I find willing ears all around. Got talking politics to a guy at work and eventually he said he agrees with Paul more than anyone, and of course I thoroughly reenforced his reasoning for it. Just the other day an off-handed wise crack of a comment (of a good nature, nothing malicious) turned into getting another coworker interested in acquiring physical precious metals and talking the risk of fiat money.

It seems that when issues are discussed outside of the false political left-right paradigm a huge number of people are drawn to Liberty through reason and morals. When this happens a new worldview forms, convictions grow strong, and eventually the political manifestation of them emerges.

Thanks for finding this place new folks. Its glad to have you here.

Id just like to add to Anti Federalist's post. First, post often and read up on things. We all came here from somewhere. I was a 2 time Bush voter and im sure most others are as well. I did a lot of research and reading and gradually moved to a libertarian stance. Dont be afraid to post what you believe in. Just be prepared to back your views up. Not everybody on here agrees with each other 100%. There is new poster named Progressive4Paul who i dont see eye to eye with but he continues to post and we hash it out be we have PMed each other and even though we disagree on some things we are cool with each other.

In short, post it up and dont be discouraged if folks disagree with you even if they have been here for 4 years. All that shit is not important. We are all here for a common cause.

Hey new guys!

I've got a lot of friends who have been inactive in the liberty movement since 2008.

A lot of them are just now coming around again for the first time since then due to the Iowa straw poll and the debates.

Sometimes, if someone is flipping channels and just randomly sees Ron in an interview or in a newspaper article, the fire begins to start again!

On my way home I stopped at a store and a guy saw my Paul sticker on my chest and said "Hey was Ron Paul in town?" "He sure was!" "Damn I missed it. The media says he's fringe but the polls don't. He's the least crazy guy running." And another lady said "Hi. I'm on Ron Paul's Facebook page!"

Now this is my new home with the great chat and members who talk here. This whole site is awesome and exciting, and we are just getting going!!
I personally thank everyone for all your efforts in supporting the Good Doctor!
I'll bet like a lot of others, the last campaign never ended for me. It's been all paul for 4 years. I also remembered and realized the other night in the chat, that when I first got out of the military in 88 I voted Libertarian. Guess who that vote was for? Somehow his message even got to me back at that young age, even though I did not ever remember his name then. Crazy Powerful Message huh? We must get it to everyone!!!

Welcome all! I have been lurking here since July 2007, so almost 4 years lurking. :/ I was involved in the 2007 race as well, and even became a delegate to my state convention, which I plan to do again this year.

The past year, I have been having some health problems, and I have lost interest in some things I used to do, such as running for recreation (at least for now). I used to visit l etsrun.com, a running message board. That place is a liberal hell hole, so I finally figured out I'd rather waste my time posting on this forum than on that forum. It feels much better being in a place where you agree with people and can connect with them on a philosophical level. I love it. Keep up the fight, guys! We've got a new challenge called Rick Perry, or the reincarnation of GWB's presidency.

Exciting stuff. I maxed out early in the campaign this time around with the idea that we need more money in the beginning to get the momentum rolling and that momentum would bring in new people ready to help and donate and volunteer. When I see all these new people on board it feels so good. It's very exciting. Being overseas this time around I'm on the outside looking in, but threads like this are so encouraging.
