We have more work to do guys, the Iowa straw poll was a great victory for us but it is time to continue forth our efforts and get more and more people on the side of liberty.

I'm not completely sure but I do somewhat remember from the last Gallup poll I saw it was below average as well, I don't think it changed much.
If anybody could clarify, that would be nice.

Most of that poll = before Iowa Straw Poll.

He is at the 11. The prior polls had him as 9,8, 9. This is positive momentum. I want to see more data from today into next week. Ron has gotten a lot of coverage over his lack of coverage.

Yea, not enough polling from post Iowa sentiments, we'll have to wait for the next Gallup poll.
The point is we're far behind the leaders in this specific poll and it may or may not be more realistic to what American generally thinks of Paul, this is where we need to keep pushing and not seeing this campaign with rose colored glasses.

It is a nonsense term. Find the definition and read it carefully. It means nothing and certainly not what the words would make you think it means.
The topline of the poll showed Ron in 3rd place with 12% nationally.

Mind you you have to search to find it, they have 'just Republicans' polled first, not including gop leaning independents.

Where did you see Ron Paul at 23% - do you have a link to that?
I only saw links to a July 27 poll.

Sorry, that was a typo. I wrote 13% and when I went back to change it to 12 I changed the wrong number. There was another national poll last week with him in 3rd with 14% - CNN, though.

its dated August 1-14
Which means most of the responses were received before August 13th, while only a few were received after the Iowa Straw Poll results were released.

"Positive intensity" is a completely bogus stat. People with a negative view of a candidate will never vote for him anyway, it doesn't matter how negative they are. All that matters is how many people view you positively enough to vote for you.

yeah i'd argue that anything that intends to measure a candidates "positive intensity" and doesn't put ron at the top is a failure. he has the most rabid base of support in recent history. if it were my poll i'd be wondering why the math didn't jive with reality. i mean really... how many die-hard herman cain fans are there?

I love how the candidates that people know absolutely nothing about are also the ones most of America likes the most. Cain and Perry are the epitome of empty suits. Cain says he'll figure this shit out later when in office and Perry just entered the race so because of this we should give these politicians major benefit of the doubt that they're good people.

Dr. Paul's facebook support is certainly surging... Plus, he just got a HUGE boost thanks to the MSM blackout, which resulted in great primetime coverage from Jon Stewart, Piers Morgan and Jack Cafferty on CNN, not even to mention Megyn Kelly, Judge Napolitano, and various radio shows. So I think his positive momentum is absolutely building.

It went from 10,000- 11,000 unique viewers per day to 16,000 over the weekend when Ron was trending nationally on twitter (he did that again for a while yesterday) and in the top 5 on google search.
as for yesterday.....
