The media is trolling Ron Paul and Ron Paul supporters (http://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/jkge5/troll_media/)... the meme failed, but is there truth to this?
Is that the goal? Or is this just a side effect? I mean, it's obvious they intend to ignore. But do they ignore knowing that it will create resentment from supporters... and then hope they can report on that? So first they discredit and ignore, then they can further discredit by saying "Everyone is complaining and a bunch of babies, but what we're doing is totally rational!"
A friend just sent me this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNHR-XryoKU), where Chris Wallace brings up Ron Paul and the guy explains he won't be a serious candidate and Chris Wallace says "So to you all who have been sending me emails for the past 24 hours" and he points to his guest. Basically like they are justified in what they are doing.
