Hello All,
This is my first post but I have been a Lurker for years now. This site is great and big relief for me when I begin to think either I have lost my mind or I am living in the Twilight Zone where crazy is the new sanity.
Quick question, if I may be so bold to jump into the foray, I have been told that Foreign Aid is a good thing since the money we give to others makes its way directly back to us which supports our farmers and others with needed goods from these needy countries. I have countered with this is not right since most of these Governments are in fact corrupt and not much if any money makes it back to us and further it is likely only some dictator or others in power benefit and the people do not. I have also pointed out this is the same argument Nancy Pelosi uses for extending unemployment benefits indefinitely.
Any further points would be greatly appreciated.
