Ron Paul’s impressive second place finish in Saturday's Iowa straw poll is giving the Texas Congressman a jump on his ride to the top of the GOP field with a renewed emphasis on his pro-life convictions and his timely message about limited government.

I don't like it pretending Ron isn't Republican just because his views lean libertarian. They act as if all libertarians think the same thing to isolate him as a kind of 'warning against him' it seems, before going into the rest.

Is there a such thing as a "social conservative" anymore? It seems like if you claim to be a Christian who is in favor of traditional marriage, against abortion, and non-violent when it comes to foreign policy, you're accused of wanting to help Iran build a nuclear arsenal to attack Israel.

Whatever happened to traditional conservative values? They seemed to have been run over by an Israeli army tank.

Maybe they can make their way back to the main stream.
