At Red Racing Horses (http://redracinghorses.com), the website I write for, we recently commissioned a poll of the SD-12 race tomorrow. The pollster found incumbent Democrat Jim Holperin narrowly leading Republican challenger Kim Simac 51/49.
After the last recalls the State Senate is 17/16 Republican, but one of those Republicans is very much a moderate who voted for collective bargaining. A victory in this race would ensure conservatives retain control off the State Senate.
